Brought friends from Ottawa/Gatineau to Gelato Village Saturday evening. We each had 2 scoops in a cup. One friend had the Mango flavour and after tasting her gelato made a face and said it was ‘off’. No she didn’t have a sample first, but how many of us do that that have gelato regularly. I thought they would replace it for free or even half price, but no, two new scoops of other flavours were full price. Disappointing for sure and very poor customer service. My other friend and I enjoyed our gelato (not mango) but were both insulted that our friend had to pay full price for a replacement. That’s not how to run a successful business.

Usually great service, but today my mom did get served the wrong flavour which made her throw out her bowl, which was a waste of 7 dollars. She didnt care enough to ask for a replacement so we just left. Usually much better, hoping it was just an off-day for the server haha! Love this place.

I love gelato but recently developed a milk allergy, so I'm always looking for non-dairy gelato and other foods.
They didn't have much available other than sorbet, which was very good .

Beware of eating here if you have any allergies! I have been here for gelato often but will not return after last night. The employees (who were very young) had no knowledge or info regarding ingredients. After being told there were no nuts I immediately discovered there were and told them. They were condescending, embarrassing and laughed. My double scoop in a waffle cone was replaced with a single scoop in a child sized cup. Not wanting to make a scene I called the next day. The "supervisor" did not seem to understand the gravity of the situation and seemed confused when I said what I paid for I did not get.

It's so good, I am working my way through the flavours ? Lemon, coconut, raspberry, espresso. Also love the biscotti and other pastries too. Quick service, worth the drive
