Good place for food always has been , our waiter looked like he was putting his head in the deep fryer. His name was Devin or Javed. Keep your hands out of the back of your pants when serving food. It’s not a playground. Oh and by the way. Don’t ask for my girlfriend’s number when I’m in the bathroom. Class act.

I have to say I was completely taken away when I walked into this establishment. Looking from the outside it would not of appealed to me in anyway to go to this restaurant. A colleague at work suggested it to me when we were talking about resorts and such and she mentioned this restaurant for its amazing breakfast buffet which includes a station where they make fresh omelettes with lots toppings to choose from. The omelettes were a decent size, enough so I did not require a second or third plate considering it was a Buffett. There was a toaster for white, brown, rye and bagels with a choosing of whipped butter, jams, honey and cream cheese, pastries, cereals, fresh fruit and the station where bacon, sausage, waffles and more were covered for you to choose.
The restaurant itself was clean, well designed and impressively huge. There is even a patio outside you may eat that was beautiful and looked so tempting to sit at with its tropical looking landscape. Now the question is, is it worth the 20.00 per person? Absolutely it is especially if you’re a good eater, you will leave satisfied and happy from the atmosphere! I will be sending more customers your way!

Couldn't rate the food I ordered today because nothing came after an hour of waiting. Not sure if recent reviews I've seen are bots or just the staff making BS reviews but here goes. Walked in after 2 ish and waited atleast 10 minutes to be seated. My family and I waited another 8 minutes or so until finally I decided to walk accross the restaurant to be greeted by a server who had to ask were we where sitting. Took server about 15 minutes to take our order then within another 15 minutes or so to give us drinks. My ceaser was watered down and terrible, also after 45 minutes no food arrived at the table. Server seemed more occupied with another table of 6 then serving my family and I oh did I mention the restaurant was dead. No attempt by the server to notify us about the status of our order? Nothing!. We made one of maybe 4 tables within the restaurant. Not the first time we experienced this but wasn't this bad however will be the last, real change is badly needed. Do not go here use to be really good waiting staff are non existent just awful.

We had a table of 5 for dinner at My Place in Fonthill today and they gave us menus and also weekend special menus, 2 of us ordered the prime rib which was on the special menu and the price was $34.95. All the food was good and our server was great! After paying we realized the prime rib wa# $42.95? When we brought it to the server’s attention, she said oh and went to get the menu and without hesitation she told us the $34.95 was for the fish above the prime rib and the price for the prime rib was cut off? She then told a guy that was either the owner or manager and he just walked away into the kitchen and didn’t care, the server said oh sorry! We have been there several times and will not go there ever again! If a business has to rip you off intentionally shame on them 😡

We went for Father’s Day brunch and couldn’t have been more disappointed. I didn’t even eat a full plate of food and my kids and husband didn’t even go up for seconds. My husband said the sausages coated his mouth in greasy fat. This was definitely a glorified continental breakfast buffet. What a waste of $100.

Super spot, I go at least monthly. A very good chef/cook, good service and a pleasant vibe. Relaxing and stimulating at the same time.

I have been coming here for years and I have never had less than a 5 star experience. You can't say that about too many places but My Place is my favorite place. Food is always amazing, price is in line with quality and portion and the service is top notch. Highly recommend

Didn’t expect to try the Steak
14oz Ribeye Steak was unreal and with the Blue Cheese and Bacon Crust. Just enough flavour to not overpower the steak. Garlic mashed potatoes were garlicky all the way through.
Definitely gives the other steak houses competition

We have been to “My Place Fonthill” a number of times. The food was ok but, on Friday January 24th, 2025 my husband ordered off the menu. He ordered the Chicken Parmigiana with Penne noodles and a side Caesar salad. It was alright & tasty.
I ordered off the Special menu for the weekend . I ordered the Salmon with Seafood Stuffing and risotto. It seemed tasty the risotto was crunchy not cooked through. I only ate half the meal. I started not feeling well. Not sure if it was the rice or the fish. I ended up feeling really ill later and being sick 🤢 🤮
Needless to say it came up and out.
I decided to call and talk to the manager so I did on Sunday mid morning. Didn’t want to do it Saturday when they might be busy. When I called I asked for the manager and the person that answered the phone asked why and I said food poisoning. He got the manager and the man answered and basically the conversation didn’t go the way I thought a manager would respond. I told him the reason for the call to let him know of the situation. I could tell he was getting a bit defensive. I told him what we ordered and about my dish that the risotto was crunchy and he said it didn’t sound it was cooked enough and told him about me getting food poisoning. No apology….he said “what do you want me to do?”…. saying it with no remorse.
I thought WOW! …I said “ an apology would be nice.” And, he said “you didn’t give me a chance.” I didn’t give him a chance I would have thought the first thing out of his mouth should have been “ I’m so sorry you experienced that. I hope you’re ok now.” That would have been enough. I was “not” looking for a free meal or a voucher just I’m sorry this happened to you. He just got into a defensive mode and made me feel bad again! I wasn’t looking for anything other than letting him know something went wrong with my dish. That perhaps by letting him know he should look into the food that was used etc…
It’s not an experience I’d want anyone else to go through I know I don’t want to go through it again. I’m not sure if he’s the same man that seated us on Friday or not. If it was him he didn’t seem to want to be there no smile more of a grunt.
I don’t think we’ll be back…anytime soon.
