Just left there utterly disgusted with their LACK of service. My husband and I arrived and seated ourselves at approximately 9pm and literally watched 2 of the wait staff flutter about in the dining room talking to people seated at the 4 other tables that were dining. They refilled drinks for them and cleared plates of their tables and though they looked at us they never came to our table. A bartender was also present and clearly saw us as well as she looked at us several times. She too neglected to come to our table to offer a menu or take a drink order. After 15 minutes my husband went over to one of the waitresses and asked if we were in a no service section. The waitress said oh I’m sorry I didn’t see you there. She clearly did and my husband told her as much. my husband and I go out at least twice a week but will never frequent this establishment again. we could certainly understand if the place was busy but there were 4 other tables with 2 wait staff and they all had their food.I would like to note that one of the table that a plate was cleared from was directly beside us and though I was looking at the girl taking the plate she didn’t even acknowledge us sitting there. I don’t normally write reviews but I have never been this disgusted with a place.

The service was extremely unpleasant, I wasn’t tended too to my liking and found that the restaurant was unhygienic. I also found that the pizza had barely any cheese on it and the rest of our food was cold and found that the wings where a very small proportion.

I'm changing my review, it was previously 5 stars. Every other visit has been awesome, great food, quick service, friendly staff. Our most recent visit was definitely not a 5 star visit. Something's changed, not sure if they got a new cook, or if they're trying to cut costs while also downgrading the quality of what they serve but the food was just.. meh. The fish and chips were ok, but I think I got maybe a handful of fries and the gravy is absolutely not the same as it used to be, tasted like generic store bought gravy, and the coleslaw has changed and now has massive hunks of red onion in it, which just completely overpower any other flavour. Mac and cheese was nothing special, just a basic and bland cheese sauce on the pasta topped with so much melted cheese that it was almost gross. We counted the fries on my daughter's plate from her kids meal and there were literally 10 fries, which is ridiculous because fries should be your "filler" food, they're so cheap to make. We would have mentioned this to the server, but she clearly had better things to do. She checked in on us only once, and it took 10 minutes just to get a simple drink refill. Nothing was "bad" but it definitely was absolutely not up to the standards Peter Piper's used to follow. Not sure if we'll bother going back for the price for food that was very lack luster.

Two strikes and we wont be back. One visit was dine-in, one was take-out both had ridiculous basic errors, ie, no cheese on the burger, no dressing for the salad, NO SALAD included with our to-go order; wine on the menu not available. Staff seems off, from the kitchen to the servers. Sorry to say, because it's a. nice local spot with decent bar food.

Really friendly service in a very cosy pub! Had pizza, wings and appetizers - all very tasty. I recommend giving Peter Pipers a try if you are in the area!
