Very cozy, rustic spot, offering a warm atmosphere that's aesthetically pleasing, which sets the mood for the delicious food that follows. The prime rib was cut thick, and cooked nicely and the vegetables and mashed potatoes were the perfect accompaniment. Be careful with that horseradish, it is very potent, and will clear up any sinus congestion.

Me and the lads went for dinner after crushing a 12 hour day. The server could hardly speak English and didn’t even give us an itemized receipt. He asked us how many beers we had when it was time to pay.it’s a good thing where honest folk. The food it self was sub par at best. I ordered a a pizza and the crust was Burnt. The fellas ordered burgers as their main and the paddy’s were burnt as well. They also did have any sesame buns which I found comical seeing as it was there second day open. One of the lads ordered “nachos” and to his surprise it didn’t even have cheese on it. They had the audacity to sell warm corn chips for 9 bucks. It was false advertising at its best. I would not eat here again. The atmosphere was pretty cool but the management and the cooks suck.

We were looking for a place to eat in upstate Minnesota for dinner and there wasn’t anything great. However, this restaurant popped up when we were searching too and it was obviously the superior option. So we grabbed our passports and headed to Canada…just to eat here. Turns out, it was totally worth the effort. Our server was super nice and welcoming. I wish I remembered his name to mention in the review. We both ended up getting the stuffed chicken and everything in the dish was impeccable. I don’t know if it’s because we are used to tasteless food over in the states, but even the chicken was more flavorful. My wife originally got noodles that ended up being spicy and our server was able to make things right. He even said “I want you guys leaving full”. He made us feel like guests. I’d highly recommend this place and I’d recommend even going through border security just to eat here (it’s not that scary people!)

Never fails to impress.
Must try bruschetta, stirfry bowl and coconut curry bowl. Make sure to end it with tiramisu cake!

Not to mention the amazing hospitality and friendly staff.

The only restaurant to serve vegetarian food with good number of options !

I highly recommend this restaurant! The food was delicious (try the poutine), the wait staff extremely skilled, the ambiance very classy and the background music was high quality and at the perfect volume to still enjoy conversation. Their butter knives are of a unique design that keeps their flat side (which may have residual butter on it) from transferring food to your napkin.

Awesome cocktails! Amazing atmosphere! Attentive staff! Unbelievable food! We order the 2lb steak special - I think they called in “meat in the middle,” prime rib, and Pickerel. We were there for a few hours and had an amazing evening with family in a perfect spot. Thank you Flint House.

I had Walleye. Good portions and pan fried. Really good veggies too. Super friendly staff and not overly loud which was awesome. I will be back.

Had a reuben with poutine and bloody caesar. Drink was great, higher marks for sure. Reuben was super tasty and the poutine was good too. Fries are higher tier and gravy was of the slightly darker kind. Affordability was better than expected and is way better than the nearest high tier restaurant.

So I came in at 6 and ordered a drink and bison burger… 6:10 waitress came back and informed me there was no more bison burgers… I smiled and told her the beef substitute would be fine. 6:45 I was my pint of beer, bartender and waitresses all looked at me empty drink in front, and nobody asked me if I’d like another… 7pm I asked if I could get a drink while a wait for my food? Bartender looks at me and says yes what would you like very annoyed. Drink shows up and my waitress comes by to tell me she’s sorry it’s very busy and apologized for the wait. I told her that I’d be out of there in 15 mins food or not. Obviously I’d pay for my drinks. 5 mins later my food shows up and the waitress tells me she’s giving me a discount for the wait and the lack of fries in my take out container. Looking back I should have opened it there as I was very disappointed when I got back to the hotel. Please look at the pics and video I’ve posted.

IMO go to Dairy Queen if you’re craving a burger…. There was no sauce on bun, no onion. Only “beef”, lettuce, tomato, cheese, and bacon I paid extra for. All in all a very bland very dry burger which I did eat entirely but the fries were inedible and i tossed them. Look at the pics and video.

Well apparently I can’t upload a video but you can clearly see how overdone the fires were. Cooked so much they were basically hollow….

You need to do better!

We were recommended to come to this restaurant by a restaurant in Duluth. We were in Ranier, MN to visit Voyageurs NP and decided to cross into Canada for dinner. It was totally worth the passport inspection :)
We had the cantilever chicken and it was superb. Callaghan was our waitress and she was super sweet and friendly. We loved the decor of the restaurant. Would love to eat here again next time we're up North
