An absolutely lovely guest house which is perfect for a short stay in Gananoque. I have stayed in few places with more period character and charm than this one. Ideally located near to the town centre and the waterfront. The owners are also lovely and quick to respond. Would highly recommend

I booked this place through Airbnb and didn’t know I only have 14 days to review! I was very disappointed and I called them and went back and forth to get permission to review but unfortunately it’s against their policy! I would like to review them here since they were beyond nice and helpful! Not only their place was beautiful, original and super clean, with fresh flowers in rooms, but also the host was super friendly! At the time of our stay the entire city had power outages and we wanted to iron our clothes, so he offered to take our clothes to Kingston and get them ironed and bring them back! Of course it was not necessary and we refused, but who does such a nice gesture? I would not only go back but also recommend to everyone who is planning to visit Gananoque! Also they have an adorable friendly dog named Lucy! The pictures are not even half the house and its beauty! it’s indeed an amazing travel in time!

For our last night in Canada, we were very disappointed. At first glance, everything seemed good but we remain mixed on the welcome (owner difficult to identify), Air conditioning so noisy that we did not sleep (clogging plastic) and the bed given to our daughter creaked with each movement. For such a rating, cobwebs on the landing with their inhabitants does not seem acceptable. The house is seriously lacking in exterior maintenance, which is a shame for such a heritage. The price seems too high for the quality.
A lot has changed since our last stay here in 2022, and most for the worse. For starters, the owners no longer serve any breakfast, and there is not even a cold biscuit or any self-serve coffee in the room or reception area. Second, there is no one to check you out or in -- it's all self-check in and out. And third, if something is wrong in your room, it's difficult and sometimes impossible to reach someone for help. For example, we arrived around 3:00 pm on a rainy and cold Saturday to find our room had no heat. It was so cold that we immediately try to turn on the ancient radiator heater on in the bedroom and the towel rack heater in the bathroom, and went next door to Riva Restaurant to warm up over a drink. When we got back at 4:00 the radiator in the bedroom was still producing just mininmal heat, and the bathroom none. So I called the number provided on an instruction sheet in hopes of getting some advice on how to get more heat from the radiators. I called again at 6:00 pm when no one had responded. I then called again at 7:00 pm before we left to go for dinner. When we got back at around 9:00 the room was still cold, so I called again and left a message pleading for a response. No one ever called back and we had a dreadful night's sleep feeling very cold most of the night. It's now almost 2 weeks since our stay at Chrysler House and we have still not received a return call or email to apologize for the lack of response or our lack of a good night's sleep. However, they did send us a copy of our bill! We mentioned our situation to a local couple we met, and they said the owners had recently opened a restaurant which was probably getting most of their attention instead of their Inn. Based on our experience, I would say that is the case.

We had a beautiful overnight to celebrate Valentine’s Day. Nathalie did all she possibly could to make us feel welcome and important as her guests. I was able to arrange Prosecco and chocolate covered strawberries in our room for our arrival. The elegantly appointed home was so beautiful and comfortable. We stayed in the main floor suite “The Garden Room.” We had a separate entrance and access to the morning coffee bar and use of a mini fridge for our leftover dinner. The breakfast we ordered from Patrick, the co-host and resident chef was spectacular. He even shared the recipe with me!! We highly recommend this home as a retreat and escape. Even in Gananoque’s “off season” we enjoyed the history and beauty of this idyllic Ontario town, especially the welcome from Nathalie and Patrick.

We stayed at Chrysler house in the garden room and the establishment did not disappoint in any aspect. The room had a lovely vintage cozy feel with an extremely comfortable bed and spacious bathroom. The food and hosts were absolutely impeccable. Natalie and Patrick have the best customer service with a warm personal approach. The cuisine was the best breakfast we had ever had with quality ingredients. We cannot wait to return

My wife and I stayed here for 2 nights for our anniversary, and it was an exceptional experience.Our room was spotless, the staff made us feel welcome, and the breakfast options were amazing. We opted for the prosecco and cheese platter, it was ready for us in our room when we arrived. Everything about Chrysler House was unique and upscale, a big thanks to Nathalie and Patrick, we had an amazing time!
