The brutally honest truth. This is one of my favorite restaurants. I love the food. Paprikash, schnitzel, all kinds of wonderful things. It's clean. It's comfortable and it's cozy. I will phrase my one critique this way. I think they run a little bit lean on personnel at times, and that can cause the service experience to be a bit inconsistent. But it's not through lack of caring, they just get busy. In any case, if you're in Gananoque and you want a great meal, I highly recommend this restaurant!

Amazing experience at Maple Leaf Czech Restaurant! The beef dishes were tender and flavorful, and the desserts were just as impressive. The friendly service made the visit even better. Highly recommend!

A cozy spot with friendly service and homemade-style food.

We tried the Salmon Dill Pâté with Rye for an appetizer, and the Beef Rouladen, Rahm Schnitzel, and Rost Pork for the main courses—all were quite good, though the prices are on the higher side.

It’s worth a try for anyone who hasn’t had Czech cuisine before, especially if you’re in the area.

Wanted to try something different. The Chicken Olympia was very good, the fish was good(didn't need tarter) and the Greek salad was awesome.

Food was ok. Had borscht which was passable. And perogies which were good.

My problem is the cost. $10 for a small bowl of soup and $18 or $20 (can't remember) for FOUR small perogies.

Beer was good.

Service pretty good. Not great.

I ordered the pork stew and there was little flavour despite the meat being very tender.

I have to say the service is slow, for both being seated and taking orders and prices are high. But we enjoyed our food here. Borscht was tasty and so were out schnitzels. The lady serving our food was really nice despite being a bit slow.

We had the smoked Polish sausage - apparently good.
Polish pierogi are not the best (and I am Polish). The dough is a bit too thick and the stuffing should have more of the Polish cottage cheese (twaróg). Also price of $18 for 4 pierogi is a bit excessive given the quality.
Shrimps and rice was good! And we also liked Borscht (barszcz) though we had to add salt and pepper to it.
The service depends on the waiter. First we encountered a young lady, who was weird and told us they have no space and thats it (even though no all tables were occupied). Eventually we returned later and our waiter was very nice (a young man).
The dessert could probably look a bit better but anyways the taste was good:)
