Comfortable food, excellent service, and a cozy ambiance.
We haven't had schnitzel or spaetzle in a very long time, so we're glad we stopped in. The weather today was pretty miserable, so having this type of food made our tummies happy.

Had Pierogies, homemade and very good, as well as the chicken schnitzel with a basic garden salad. I felt like I was taken away, back to a little town in Europe. Homemade, authentic. Great service for a small town.
I would recommend this charming restaurant

The food here is absolutely delicious — every dish is full of flavor and clearly prepared with care. I celebrated my birthday with six friends, and the atmosphere and service were genuinely enjoyable. However, the portions are quite small for the price, so overall it felt a bit expensive for what we actually ate.

We go to Gananoque once a year for a couple of nights. A tradition is to have one dinner out at the Maple Leaf for schnitzel.

The dinner never disappoints. It is so fresh and like good old home cooking.

The restaurant is cozy. The staff is always friendly.

My only gripe is the perogie appetizer, as tasty as it is, it is not worth the price. Even a year ago when you got 5 for $18, that seemed a bit much; but now you only get 4.

I had the club with fries and gravy. It was delicious. My dining partners had the spatzel, schnitzel, perogies and blueberry crumble as well the the carrot cake. All was enjoyed thoroughly. Our server was friendly and attentive. 5 stars well done!

I was quite disappointed with my pork schnitzel. It was tasteless and bland. I wouldn't order it again in the future.

The price is ridiculous. The Bratwurst is one sausage with soggy store bought frozen fries for $+20. The schnitzel was pretty subpar considering the price and the kids meal was $14 for a sad plate of chicken tenders and those soggy fries. Total price for 2 schnitzels, kids meal, bratwurst and a beer….. $130 Honestly not worth the price unless the food quality improves.

The waiter was very nice and attentive.

Big prices, small portions, average beer/average food.....the staff is nice only if they want to. I would not come back. The only reason why I give 4* is that I like supporting my fellow countrymen ;)

A very well rounded restaurant with an excellent cook. A lot of history at this location and a beautiful Czech beer selection. Respect to the owner, great establishment.

I had a pork schnitzel and my wife a plater with prosciuto, cheese, pita bread and some salmon cream. Everything was very tasty and plenty. The garden salad was fresh. The schnitzel was very soft, melting in your mouth. Great place and great serving!
