The location was great, right on the water. The inside is fancier while the patio quite casual.

The dinner was quite good (chicken supreme and curry). The breakfast was decent but not for the cost.

The service is a bit awkward and generally doesn’t seem to have enough staff. If you want ketchup, salt and pepper, etc etc you have to ask. You could detect an air of frustration among the customers. We were never in a hurry so it didn’t bother us as much. Might just be new management that will improve with experience??

Overall the cost was a bit high for the overall experience

When you arrive there is no one to greet you. It feels like the place is meant only for hotel guests. I had to ask a waiter who with an annoyed expression told me to just sit down and that someone would bring me a menu. All the patio tables were already occupied and none had been cleared. We had to clear one ourselves. When the waiter eventually came to wipe it he just ran a dirty rag over it without using any sanitizer.

When it was time to order the waiter with a smug attitude did not bother writing anything down. He repeated our order and got it completely wrong. Drinks are self service but calling them drinks is a stretch. Only tea or coffee. No juice. No milk. Nothing else. The menu offers the usual egg breakfast with no option for fruit or yogurt.

Overall poor service, unwelcoming atmosphere and a very limited offering. Definitely not worth your time.

It was okay. I did dine in.
It was nice sitting by there window, watching the waterfront. The food was okay. A little high priced

Better food at a diner for much less. Great view. Music is both uncomfortably loud and uninteresting in all areas. I will probably join many many people and not return.

This restaurant is located at the Gananoque Inn and Spa. The patio has a good view of the waterfront. The food is good and overall a pleasant place to have lunch or supper. It was very busy (poker run weekend) so it took a while for service. We weren’t in a hurry and we appreciated how hard the server staff were working to ensure everyone had a great experience. I’d recommend eating here.

We booked an appointment for 8 pm on the 4th August. When we visited the place at 745 pm they simply said the kitchen was closed and cannot welcome us. Two more groups faced the same situation. I never recommend this place for anything.

Came for breakfast on a Sunday morning. Restaurant was maybe 2/3 full . Sat ourselves close to servers station and waited at least 15 minutes with no acknowledgement whatsoever. At least 6 servers hovering around and not once did one look at us. Guess the locals don't count during tourist season.

My Linguini Alfredo was Spaghetti with some white sauce, and the Salmon I had with it was overcooked. The waiter was trying hard to give good service.

After booking in the dining room and confirming the same day, we are told when we arrive that the dining room is closed. The alternative offered to eat on the terrace of the Muskie Jakes Tap and Grill turned out to be a bad memory: sticky table, very very slow service and disappointing food quality.

Horrible! Awful service. We waited 10 minutes for a server just to get drinks. Ordered when the server finally did come, half an hour no food. Server comes back to say they can't accommodate a fish allergy for anything. So the entire kitchen is cross contaminated with raw fish! After the 40 minute wait we left no food. Our family used to come here for decades and we will not return.

Note - this restaurant is not suitable for people with allergies - in particular shellfish allergies. The chef refused to serve one of our party because they had a shellfish allergy. The staff were very friendly and apologetic but unable to offer a safe menu option unfortunately. The wait staff were also a bit inconsistent with answers to menu questions - we asked about what virgin cocktails were available and we were told just Shirley Temples, but when the table next to us asked their waiter, he listed off several regular cocktails that could be made without alcohol (piña colada, sex in the beach etc). Perhaps our waitress was just trying to offer child friendly options she did make our kids some great non-alcoholic mixes of juice and pop that were well received! The restaurant has a great terrace right on the water edge where you can watch the tour boats coming in. The food was good for those that ate but our evening was slightly spoiled by the fact that one of us left hungry. Better safe than sorry - but it’s disappointing that the kitchen doesn’t have a separate station to prepare allergy free meals for guests with special dietary restrictions.

There was one table with people, empty place, we walked in, 3 staff standing at the bar, no one acknowledged us, they looked at us, we sat down, waited 10min, grabbed menus off the table beside us, still no acknowledgment, sat for 10 more minutes, not one staff came over, they stared at us , we left , went to the purple house across the street, fabulous staff, it was phenomenal!

Sometimes a road trip calls for a slight detour to visit small beautiful towns, and enjoy a local restaurant. The Gananoque Inn, right on the water, historic building didn’t disappoint. Our waiter was welcoming, friendly. The menu had something for everyone and food was delicious. The view …awesome??
