I have never been to this place before and I will NEVER be going back. I ordered two cakes totaling $142.65 - One large rectangular birthday cake and another round cheesecake. I arrived for a scheduled pick up of the cakes at 11AM and I was told the cakes were not ready. I had to wait an additional hour for them to finish the cakes. They brought out the rectangular cake first and my jaw dropped. The cake was broken and they tried to cover it up with an obscene amount of icing. I was embarrassed to serve this at the birthday party, but I did not have a choice at this point seeing as how I was already late. The sweet and understanding lady behind the cash did give me back $20 for that take. However, the situation went from bad to worse when they brought out the cheesecake which looked like someone had thrown up all over it. I asked for a strawberry cheesecake. They wrote “Happy Birthday” in orange icing on top of the strawberry mash and by time I got home, it looked like the picture. Completely ruined. They did provide me a complete refund for this cake approximately $35. The next day, I called to speak to a manager because on the previous day, I was told that there was not one available. The manager told me they would relay my situation to the store owner who would give me a call. However, this never happened. Three weeks later, I called the store for the 4th time. Alas, the store owner, Amid, got on the phone and completely disregarded everything I was saying. He kept speaking over me and interrupting me. It was clear he lacked basic human dignity and had no intention for taking accountability for the situation. This was my first and last time ordering anything from this place. I highly recommend you save yourself the disappointment and avoid it as well.

I grew up with trips to Heather’s with my grandma & since she’s passed, I’ve continued to go here in memory of her. This place is such a gem & has amazing prices. I got a tea & a rice crispy treat for a little over $5. The staff here that took over from the old owners are very kind as well. The old owners were amazing I will say though, I grew up with them knowing me & my family because my grandma went here every morning. Now it’s a lived on legacy to go here in memory of my grandma & I still can’t complain!🫶🏼

Brought some back for the office and they loved it! The cinnamon buns were quotes as having "a symphony of flavours".

Heather's has unfortunately changed! Reduced stock when I recently visited, my favourite triple chocolate cookie is now much, much thinner with fewer chunks of chocolate. No longer sell certain products that are long enjoyed (almond Florentine, ginger bread men). Prices have gone up drastically - $11 for 3 cookies. Not the same place sadly and no longer my go to spot in town for an affordable, dependable treat.

Picking up a birthday cake for someone who loves lots of icing on cake. This is a 50 dollar birthday cake and it was a previously phoned in order. First off the cakes are now smaller then they used to be under the previous owner of the bakery and the prices are now higher then they used to be. 9 of the 50 dollars was paid for added extra icing on the cake. This extra icing was NOT on the cake, anywhere. It was the exact opposite, the icing that was on the cake was the thinnest layer of icing, I have ever seen on a cake, from any bakery. The icing SKIN on this cake was THINNER then the edge of a popsicle stick. On inspection its like someone intentionally planned to put the tiniest, least, miserable, little bit of icing on this cake. And the loops and swirls of icing that you sometimes get around the top and bottom of a cake, the bottom one looked like it had been applied by someone using a eyedropper to put the icing on, the top one was not even there. Also a happy birthday wish was asked for. This was badly done. Most of the words faced one way and the name of the person receiving the cake faced in another direction! This birthday cake was a big disappointment for the person who ordered it and a bad joke to the person who received.

My grandchildren went on their first “alone “ shopping experience today ( while I waited outside) and were treated so nicely and kindly. They were very pleased and the community spirit and support shown by Heather’s staff is very appreciated!

So I've been going to Heathers Bakery for years. Not as a frequent, everyday kind of sit-in regular customer, but more of a “grab a treat once in a while” to bring home kind of customer.

It never dawned on me to write a review, but then I heard Heathers has a new owner, and I thought, “ oh no, has it changed for the better or worse”, so I dropped by today to “grab some treats”…

… well, the place (interior) hasn't changed, the treats haven't changed and most importantly, the recipes and quality hasn't changed. The staff was kind and friendly, as it should be!

It still has its charm.

We need more places like this to survive, its what makes our community unique and very special.

I'll be by again soon for more scones, brownies, cookies and meat pies soon!

Vegetarian options: There are gluten-free options

Parking: There's parking but not enough to support everyday customer visits. You'll eventually find a spot with patience.

I ordered this pie for my family for thanksgiving. I didn’t bother to open the box until I got to my family dinner because I didn’t think anything would be wrong with it- well boy was I wrong. It looks like this pie was burnt on the top and they had to scrape half of it off to hide their mistake (you can see the scrape marks). I still had to serve it because it was the only dessert. I was embarrassed to serve this to my family. It tasted bland, the crust was burnt, and I am very disappointed as I paid $25 for this pie and I probably won’t be buying any more pies from here.

Service has gone down since management has changed hands. I ordered food to be cooked and the cashier served everyone in line before even starting to make my food. I was with my young toddler and cashier didn’t seem to care enough to get the food started…..she finally got to making my food and stopped several times to go and help customers. I definitely won’t be returning.
