This place!!!! It was such a cute little market in a charming small town! There were so many lovely places to sightsee, drawback was finding a place to legally park...however did jot take away from the experience. Located just down the road was a quaint restaurant which requires reservations (wish I knew) —definitely worth planning ahead for next time. The market itself had an amazing variety of items to browse and buy. Such a cool experience overall, and I’ll absolutely be back again.

Such a cozy little café in Georgetown. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, the staff are lovely, and the people add to the charm of the place. The hot chocolate is an absolute must-try—rich, comforting, and delicious. I loved it so much that I’ll definitely be coming back for it.

I visited this café today with my family after travelling over an hour from Vaughan, excited to share what I believed would be a beautiful and welcoming spot. Unfortunately, the experience was deeply disappointing and uncomfortable.

Upon arrival, I entered with my service dog, who is legally permitted in public spaces. The woman at the front—who appeared to be the owner or manager—approached me in an authoritative manner and requested documentation for my service dog. I complied and provided the paperwork, after which we were allowed inside.

During our visit, we spent approximately $100 on coffee and treats. Despite this, I was approached multiple times by staff. Three employees came over separately to inform me that dogs were not allowed, requiring me to repeatedly explain that my dog is a registered service dog. This was both frustrating and embarrassing.

After other patrons expressed admiration for my calm and well-behaved dog, the manager again approached us and stated that the dog was not welcome. At that point, feeling humiliated and clearly unwelcome, we chose to leave.

I have never felt so uncomfortable, singled out, or unsupported in a public establishment. The lack of understanding, empathy, and basic knowledge of accessibility laws demonstrated by the staff was shocking.

For clarity:
In Ontario, Canada, individuals with disabilities have the legal right to be accompanied by a service dog in all public spaces, including cafés and restaurants. These rights are protected under the Ontario Human Rights Code, the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA), and the Blind Persons’ Rights Act (BPRA).

Service dogs are not pets—they are essential supports. No one should have to repeatedly justify their disability or endure public embarrassment while exercising their legal rights.

Sadly, this was an experience we will not repeat, and I cannot recommend this establishment unless significant education and training around accessibility and inclusion are implemented.

I hope that other visits will not have to endure this and my hope is that the staff would be taught how to treat persons with service dogs.

Discovered this little gem during a “Guess Where” road trip, and we will definitely be taking a road trip to return! From the minute you walk in, your taste buds are tantalized with the aroma of freshly baked goods and brewed coffee. The gift shop section carries an assortment of high end candles, clothes and unique gift ideas, but it was the bakery and sandwich section that drew our attention. Staff were so friendly, and not at all fazed by the crowd lined up from the entrance door. While the peppermint coffee (complete with foam design) was okay, it was the peanut butter chocolate butter tart (!) that will have us returning. They were decadently delicious. Limited seating indoors; most of the customers were taking their orders to go. Take time to enjoy the picturesque outdoor patio seating areas with comfy Muskoka chairs nestled around fire pits; they even provide blankets. Lots of photo ops on the lovely grounds, nestled near the banks of the Credit River. We will definitely be returning to try more of their many bakery treats and breads.
