The Pickled Piper Bar & Grill

My hubby was craving Fish & Chips. Places in Georgetown charge and arm and a leg so he suggested we go here and try due to good reviews. I was already skeptical because my hubby being from the UK....fish and chips no matter where you get them are cheap and Always AMAZING!!!!

It seemed like everyone knew each other in there....seems like a nice place to maybe hang for drinks......just drinks!!!

The waitress was very nice!! The food was NOT!
As soon as she put the plate down and I looked at it I KNEW I had made a mistake!
It looked not appealing at all!!!
It seemed like it wasn't fresh.

It tasted like frozen Captain Highliner fish sticks that my Mom used to buy.....
Never again!
I should have spent the extra $10 for the good stuff! Lesson learned!!!

Lived here my entire life and visited for the first time and was very impressed! Didn’t catch our servers name but she was absolutely lovely. Only tried one thing off the menu and it was great, will definitely be returning.

Went there on a Sunday evening, great atmosphere. Wasn’t crowded and enjoyed the tap beer (Creemore) & the Baton Rouge Breaded wings were amazing. Highly recommend for a good experience.

Over priced poutine and a dry, burnt sandwich.

I ordered the Philly Cheese Steak and upgraded my fries a poutine, but I have have say I'm feeling a bit ripped off after eating it.

I paid $6 extra to get the poutine instead of fries, and you tell me if that looks like it was worth it in the picture. I got a spoon full of gravy and a small amount of cheese for my $6.

As far as the sandwich goes it was fairly small, was dry, and burnt on the ends to the point it was hard to chew. My partner said the staff was nice when she picked up the food but I can't say I was happy with the meal given the price and quality of my meal.

We went in on a Saturday afternoon 2ish. Not busy, just 3 or 4 guys at the bar. Had never been so decided to try. Server very nice, friendly and helpful. Food was average. Just before we received our food, a customer came in with a parrot on his shoulder to let the server know he was there on the patio. No problem. Except the server got so excited over the parrot that she rushed out to have the parrot perch on her. She was out there petting the bird for a few minutes. She came back in to get our food from the kitchen and to serve more drinks to those at the bar - WITHOUT washing her hands. A few minutes later the cook went out and was gone for a few minutes. I couldn't see whether or not he touched the bird but he didn't wash his hands when he came back in either. I could see the sink from where we sat. The server went out a few more times because of the bird. I love all animals, including birds, but sanitation should be a must. We will never go back. Probably nobody will miss us since we had never been, but there you have it.

My fav pick me up for a night in or even if I wanna go to a restaurant in town. The owner is amazing as well as all her staff…. This place is awesome & has super good prices for what you can order. The kitchen staff Nemo nails it every time with my food & memorizes my order by now lol. Highly recommend you pay them a visit, you won’t be disappointed! ??

Always a good time at the PP. Food is very good and consistent, no matter what we order it always comes out the same. Service is always great and the prices are very good. Highly recommend.

My daughter & I popped in for lunch today, as I have had a hankering for French onion soup for a long time. While in town I googled "best French onion soup in Georgetown" which led us to them. The server also said its a fave of hers so we ordered it. OMG! I think it may be the best I've ever had! Baked in their wood oven, it was just what the doctor ordered! Looking forward to returning soon!
