Horrible service, very rude and ignorant. Called in for a pick up order and they told me an hour for one combo plate! Tried to ask them why such a long wait and the lady on the phone told me “doesn’t matter, I am busy.” Just moved in the area and thought I’d give this place a try. Would give no stars if it was possible 👎🏽

We did not done in so my rating is on the take out.

I was a little nervous about the order process being contactless but the food was ready in time (I picked it up) and we were pleasantly surprised about the quality. We order many dishes for 6 people and everyone enjoyed it.

I personally did not care for the garlic spare ribs (but then I think garlic spare ribs are generally terrible anyways).

I liked the crispy beef which had the sauce on the side (much better than soaked in sauce and the flavour was great)

Although food everywhere has gotten pricey since COVID, I found the size of the dishes were generous.

Visiting Ottawa on the Canada Labour Day long weekend. At the recommendation of my friend who had lunch here before, me and my family visited the restaurant for dinner.
The restaurant is not very big but it is quite neat and decent. We were friendly greeted to sit down on a round table. The menu showed a large variety of foods and we just ordered our favored foods.
The portion of foods are generous and we did not worry about not enough to share among us. The look and tastes of food are super nice, we found the quality of food is also as good as some big restaurants. We had tofu for dessert, it is very smooth, silky and tasty. Overall it is an above average experience. Will recommend my friends to visit.

We tried a couple of the combo plates. Portions were very generous. The beef and broccoli and the chicken chop Suey in particular were delicious. Service was attentive and friendly. There was a white noise machine for ambient sound.

Took over from Hing Sing. Quality, service and taste have gone seriously downhill. Tasteless Hot & Sour soup had lots of tofu and little else. Singapore Noodles were passable only because I asked for extra spicy. Meat dish was awful.

Crowning achievement was no Fortune Cookie.

Will not go back.

This is the old-style Chinese restaurant established by descendants of the railway worker Cantonese in Chinatowns all across Canada. Many dishes, identified by number so everyone can order without concerns about accents or reading, each fresh made as ordered. Background music is quiet modern Chinese; service is gracious and attentive.
Their sizzling plates are spectacular, placed directly from the oven onto matching wood platters. I recommend avoiding dishes with squid or octopus as I found them overcooked to the point of losing all texture, but everything else we tried was excellently prepared. The small size soups are ample for two diners, superbly tasty. Some tables have a rotating center to allow dish sharing for up to 10 diners in the traditional Cantonese way.

Horrendous service, night-marish each visit. You get your food an hour later and you’ll never get anymore attention. They don’t know the first thing about hospitality and they don’t even care. Tried flagging them for water refills and the bill, no such luck. They even cheated us on the bill. Gave them a chance through word of mouth but never again, stay the hell away from this place.

Not very friendly. Have ordered take out lunch for years and too often I feel like I am being a burden when i pick up the order. Yesterday no please/thank you or even eye contact. She gave me the order less the drink, then requested i tap to pay. When i asked if the drink was included, she then gave me her least popular drink of pop without asking my preference. I asked her to exchange for something I liked, she then gave me only one other option. Poor customer service. I will be taking my business to someone else that appreciates it.

The most recent visit (March 3, 2025) was good. Food was surprisingly better than most visits. Atmosphere isn’t great since they don’t play music so if you’re the only table dining in, it’s usually dead quiet so it can be kind of awkward.

Great fresh foods and excellent service too, will be back for sure
