Don’t say we are serving food on Saturday and can’t commit, bad experience and service plus attitude….

We enjoyed the outdoor patio. Peach IPA was delicious.

Ottawa’s Amazing City Seltzer beverages.. I love all the flavours , just the right amount of carbonation(bubbles) tastes great , easy to chug and extremely refreshing.. The new Tee Time is delicious … I have them all and keep them stocked in my beverage fridge. Our Guests love em plus it feels so good to support an Ottawa local … thx

Great idea by Dominion City—beer right on the Rideau Canal. Hope they bring it back next summer. Recommend the Glorious and Free.

I WISH I COULD GIVE THIS PLACE NEGATIVE STARS .. VERY UNSANITARY AND THERE IS BUGS The beer is horrible. Save your money and go to Bicycle Brewing Co.

Nice looking brewpub in an out of the way spot with not much ambiance and pretty quiet on a Friday afternoon. The bartender was nice and efficient. I was kinda surprised that the saison I ordered wasn't on draft but served from a bottle. Either way, it was delicious, but maybe a tad expensive. Tax and tip was included in the price however, which is fine by me. They had a lovely beer garden outside that seemed like a little oasis in this industrial hellhole, but it was way too hot outside, even with no AC I preferred being inside. I don't recall seeing a food menu, anyway I was just in for a beer, which was pretty good.

Absolutely fantastic amazing spot to be. Dominion City Brewery isn't just a brewery; it's an experience! From the moment you step in, you're enveloped in an atmosphere that's both lively and welcoming. Their tap list is a rotating symphony of innovative and perfectly crafted beers, ensuring there's always something new and exciting to discover. Whether you're a hop-head, a sour fanatic, or prefer a crisp lager, their mastery shines through in every pour. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and genuinely passionate, making every visit feel like a personalized journey through the world of craft beer. And let's not forget the incredible events and vibrant community spirit that make this place truly stand out. It's fantastic and easily one of Ottawa's absolute gems!

literally the best flavored water that I've ever had

Great little brewery located deep in canotek that has a plethora of beer selection. Located next to ski trails in the winter and easy to bike to in the summer.
Very friendly staff and a great place to wind down the day.
Can also buy beer to go.

Great beer, friendly staff. Don't sleep on the city seltzer.

Nice patio and beer to go.

Truly love DC, it feels like our backyard away from home. Beers are great and vibes immaculate. Even our dog gets hyped for a visit to Dominion city!

Dominion City Brewing Co. is located well outside Ottawa’s city center, hidden at the back of an industrial area. There’s nothing else around, so if you’re going, it’s strictly for the brewery.

The space itself is unique, with a raised deck nestled in the trees that gives off a relaxed, treehouse-like vibe. It’s a memorable setting and clearly designed with intention.

That said, I didn’t enjoy the beer. I ordered a flight (4 small pours for $16), and found most of the beers overly bitter, sharp, and unbalanced. If you’re into hop-heavy, astringent IPAs, you might appreciate it — but it wasn’t to my taste.

What really put me off was the retail policy. I picked up a few takeaway beers from other local breweries they carry, and was told I had to buy a snack — chips, sesame sticks, etc. — in order to purchase them. This was after I had just bought a full flight of their own beer. It felt like a strong-arm tactic: being forced to buy snacks I didn’t want just to support other local brewers, after supporting Dominion City directly. Whether it’s due to licensing or not, it left a sour impression.

Bottom line: the atmosphere is unique, but the beer didn’t land, and the customer experience felt awkward and transactional. Not really for me — 3/5.

I hate giving this review because we have had great experiences here but today the 22nd of June, at 1430 to 1730, I can't say that I would return. Not because the beer is not delicious but because the service was so poor. I don't know what was going on but we had to beg for service and after 3 or 4 beers we were refused service. Apparently if we were Gavin or Stewart we would have had better service from Audrey, too bad the tip is included. Don't know if we will be back even though we have been regulars.

Stupidly expensive!
10 dollars for a SMALL plastic glass of the worst beer I’ve ever had.
