We love Host India! It is our favourite neighbourhood restaurant - the South Asian comfort food is always delicious and consistent. We visit 6-8 times per year. Our favourite dish, the Punjabi Thali with Butter Chicken, is terrific value for money and always leaves enough for lunch the next day. The garlic naan is to die for!

The food was pretty good，flavorful and nicely cooked，especially the garlic naan. However, the table felt a bit greasy, which affected the overall experience slightly. Still worth a visit for the food!

I keep coming back to this location for its amazing butter chicken lunch to go option.
The portions are great, the flavour is amazing, all in all just an awesome dining experience.
Highly recommend if you are looking for some decently priced and incredibly tasteful Indian food.

An absolutely delightful experience from start to finish! The warm and welcoming customer service made us feel right at home the moment we walked in. The food is nothing short of spectacular! Thanks to Chef Ravi.

The Lamb Boti was perfectly cooked—tender, juicy, and full of rich flavors. The Tandoori Chicken had the perfect smoky char and was bursting with spice, just the way it should be. The Goan Fish Curry had that beautiful balance of tangy, spicy, and savory, with fresh fish cooked to perfection. The Bhindi Masala was wonderfully spiced and made with fresh okra—absolutely delicious and the Amritsari Kulcha is soft, flaky, and paired perfectly with all the dishes, it was the star of the meal.

The entire experience was a celebration of authentic Indian flavors, complemented by warm, attentive service. Highly recommend this gem for anyone looking for an unforgettable meal!

I had an amazing dining experience at this incredible Indian restaurant! The service was friendly and warm, making us feel right at home and the food is absolutely phenomenal.

The Paneer Lababdar was rich, creamy, and full of flavor—definitely one of the best I've ever had. The Lamb Rogan Josh was perfectly spiced, tender, and so satisfying. The Fish Tikka was succulent, with just the right balance of smokiness and seasoning. The Malai Kofta was indulgent and smooth, with the koftas practically melting in your mouth. And of course, the Naan was soft, warm, and the perfect accompaniment to all these dishes.

Highly recommend this place for anyone craving authentic, flavorful Indian food. A true gem!

If you're looking for an authentic and unforgettable Indian dining experience, this place is a must-visit! From the moment we walked in, the customer service was top-notch—friendly, attentive, and incredibly welcoming. The food-Simply outstanding.

The Fish Tikka was perfectly cooked, tender, and bursting with flavor. The Dal Makhani was rich, creamy, and packed with the perfect blend of spices. The Naan was fluffy and fresh, just the right texture to accompany the dishes. And the Palak Paneer is Absolutely divine. The gravy was so delicious and the paneer was perfectly soft, making it a standout dish.

This restaurant has everything you want—delicious food, excellent service, and a cozy atmosphere. Highly recommend it to anyone craving authentic Indian cuisine!

First visit to Host India South location. We’ve been to Montreal Road many times. I must say Chef Ravi’s preparation is special! Felt like home cooked meal. We tried the butter chicken and chicken tikka masala. Freshly prepared with piping hot rotis. Service was excellent. I forgot to ask our server’s name. She was great too thank you. Highly recommend for authentic Indian. Will be back soon.

Ordered take out. Huge Indian food fan and I’ve eaten different spots across Canada. Just moved to Riverside South and I am very happy to say i have found the best spot in Ottawa next to my house! Butter chicken, Korma Chicken, palak paneer- all spot on! Thanks Host-India! Very nice server too upon pick-up. Little pricey but good size portions and taste is 10/10. :)

Enjoyed a great meal at Host India South last night. Had the Punjabi Thali it looked small when it arrived but it was plenty. It had Tandoori chicken legs , chicken curry , lentil curry , papadam, naan bread , rice , salad and sauces . Very good food in a casual atmosphere.
