I ordered a medium rare steak when it came it was well done. Waiter saw this and immediately took it away to get me another steak done the way I liked it. I was impressed with his attention to detail and was even more impressed when the steak was removed from my bill.

We come to Lonestar often — I’m a huge steak fajita fan — but I had to leave a review after our visit this past weekend. Our server Autumn was amazing! So kind, attentive, and really stood out from our past experiences. She made my entire family so happy. Thanks, Autumn — we’ll definitely be asking for her next time!

Was very disappointed in the enchiladas, chicken was dry and the cheese barely melted. It was cold. Steak was good but very pricy . Beans had a crunch to them indicating to me they were not cooked enough. Rice also seemed to be dried out. First time at this Lone Star location as I am just visiting Ottawa but don't think I'll be back. The service at the take out was excellent, nice friendly person. The food was disappointing.

The new Birria Bandito wrap with curly fries was so yummy! Highly recommend! Our server was Dynamite, and he was such a happy, friendly server! This group of old broads were very impressed with his service, and wanted to make sure we have a good review. Be the light!

Portions are MUCH smaller than they were pre-COVID. Nachos and fajitas (dos) were both disappointingly small as are the tortillas. Nachos had hardly any cheese or beef. Jalapenos are served raw, not pickled now. Shredded iceberg lettuce on the nachos for some reason (filler). Staff was apologetic, but simply explained that's what the portions are actually like now.

The whole experience was amazing! We will deffer be going back again. My favorite part was probably the drinks. They are just so fun and refreshing. The food was really tasty, and our server was wonderful. She was so patient with us as we indecisively stared at the menus for the first time.

The restaurant was empty. Service was very slow. Food was mediocre. I used to love going to the Lonestar Café, but is lost so much of it charm and allure. I don't think I'll be going back anytime soon which makes me very sad.
I wasn't impressed - waitress got our bills mixed up. One of party members had to leave early- she gave him someone else's bills and we didn't notice it until we were paying our bills. He was to pay for shrimp food and he ordered fajita bowl. We were there for a birthday- some party members purchased a meal to share and my mom dropped her drink as she was moving 8 plates when the manager brought them and her drink fell, the waitress brought her another drink and she charged her for it.

The service was bad. We received our hot food before everything else except the cutlery, which was already on the table when we sat down. The hot food came before water, before plates, and before the salsa and chips, all of which should have been provided first. The worst I have ever experienced in any restaurant, including Lone Star visits.

Took a while to be welcomed and asked for our drink menu. A separate server came over 3 times with drink orders that weren't ours. We had to ask for chips/salsa. The plates were underwhelming when served (at least half empty). The pickle Coleslaw came recommended and was bland with barely any pickle or pickle flavour. I think our server may have been new (he didnt mention it). But we had to ask for our plates to be cleared. He left the empty chips/salsa on the table for our whole meal. Just not what I normally expect for a Lone Star.
