Great Service, amazing food! Loved our waitress was very accommodating with our toddler too. A little noisier and the place was a bit tight but it was busy so we understand. Overall excellent dinner.

I planned a Sisters dinner event January 22 and the server we had didn't introduce himself by name to us, often forgot the drinks ordered until later, one of us asked for salt and gravy. Gravy came and then later the salt. Since the gravy was extra $ I would have expected him to advise before but he didn't. Then another salt shaker got delivered later on. One of us ordered a Caesar cocktail and asked to replace vodka with Gin, which again we got charged for without a heads up. The rib eye cut ordered had so much fat (handful) and did not merit the cost of $63.00 Likelihood of not going back to this location in the future

We had a reservation for 9 people at Moxies on Friday to celebrate a special birthday, and unfortunately, we were very disappointed with the service. Our server, Anne, made us feel largely neglected throughout the evening. We are not a difficult group to please, but it felt like only one end of the table was occasionally checked onwhen it was checked on at all.

We were at the restaurant for approximately an hour and a half, and during that time, the server still had not asked everyone if they wanted to start with appetizers. The food did not arrive at the same time, which was disappointing for a large group dining together. Our server was also very difficult to get a hold of or to flag down when we needed assistance.

We had brought a birthday cake, which had been stored in the fridge, and when it was time for dessert, the cake and plates were dropped off very quickly, making the moment feel rushed rather than celebratory.

Before closing, instead of receiving a polite warning that the restaurant would be closing soon, we experienced what felt like passive-aggressive cues: TVs were shut off, the lights in our section were turned off, and the restaurant suddenly became very cold, as if the heat had been turned down.

While the food itself was delicious, the overall experience was not enjoyable, and we did not feel welcomed especially disappointing for a birthday celebration. Based on this experience, I would suggest considering a different restaurant if you are planning a large group event.

I ate laksa. It wasn’t terrible, but it felt unfinished. It’s supposed to be mildly spicy, yet there was no heat at all. For some reason, the soup was white. The menu said “Thai laksa,” but laksa is originally a Singaporean or Malaysian dish.

The menu also had ramen and sushi. My nephew ordered the ramen. He has been to Japan, so he knows what real ramen tastes like. His impression was that it wasn’t bad, but it wasn’t the same.

You can’t become a sushi chef or a ramen chef just by watching YouTube videos. In Japan, it’s said that it takes about 10 years to become a fully qualified sushi chef, and about two to three years to become a ramen chef. When I looked into the kitchen, there were no Japanese chefs. I wondered how people who have never even been to Japan can make sushi or ramen. Taste is something you learn with your tongue.

Unfortunately, there was no heat and no one told us prior to our coming in to the restaurant. Everyone had to wear their winter jacket. Food was good so as the service. Will not be going back soon.

Was able to make a reservation 30 minutes before we arrived on NYE and asked to relocate to the bar so we would have better viewing of the world juniors games, all staff were very courteous and thoughtful, the food was excellent and we had a fantastic time

We went to dinner on Boxing Day for our annual family get together. We usually go to Boston Pizza in Orleans but wanted to try something different and a little more upscale so I made a reservation for 4pm at Moxies. We were seated upstairs at a long table with barstools rather than proper tables, so that was a bit disappointing but not a big deal. The restaurent was very cold due to some issues with the heating that had not been completely rectified yet, so most of us had to keep our coats on. All of the female staff were cold and our server had to put a sweater on during service. I ordered the loaded burger and fries (the burger was cold) and there were a few other people in the group whose meals were just lukewarm. Some had steaks with their meals but when you spend $60-$70 for a steak, you shouldn't have to eat it with your coat on. We were given free hot beverages for the heating inconvenience but when the bills came we were charged, so our server had to reprint our bills which was not her fault as she was not made aware of same. The service was spot on but for the prices they charge for food, I would have expected a better dining experience. This has put myself and others in our party off, so unfortunately I can't recommend this particular Moxies.

Moxies - Ogilvie Road We went as a group of four to celebrate my wife's birthday. None of us ordered alcohol — just water — and unfortunately the experience was very disappointing. Three of us ordered the steak and fries. The steaks were served with a garnish or side that honestly looked like grass and tasted just as bad. My wife's steak was extremely overcooked — tough like shoe leather — and basically inedible. The garnish was so unpleasant that my mom couldn't eat it at all. My son's dish came with beets that were hard, oddly textured, and strange-tasting. Those were pushed aside as well. Service was borderline at best. Our waitress repeatedly mixed up our appetizers, which only added to the frustration, especially considering this was meant to be a birthday dinner. Overall, the food quality and service did not meet expectations at all. We left disappointed and will not be returning.
