This place has always been good but I went today and had a bad experience with the fries. They tasted like they hadn’t changed the oil, plus there wasn’t much meat on the chopped fries. The burger was really good so no issues there but the patty didn’t really have that smash burger char or carmelization. Would still come back here to support this business and get the milk cake, but the fries were so bad I couldn’t eat them and I don’t like wasting food.

This has quickly become my favorite Somali restaurant in Ottawa. The food was exceptional—every dish was prepared with remarkable care and authentic flavor.
Our server and host, Ahmed, made the experience even better. He was welcoming, attentive, and incredibly helpful, especially when introducing my family to Somali cuisine for the first time. His knowledge and recommendations allowed us to try several memorable dishes.
The menu also offers smash burgers and a variety of other unique options, making it an interesting spot for all tastes. We will absolutely be returning.

Literally halal non genocide Big Mac! They have such amazing food and the people working there are sooo sweet! This is underrated! Owners should hire multiple food reviewers to make videos on TikTok! Also keep providing great service and smiles :)

My husband and I tried Sa'hara on a whim while in the area for the first time and were not disappointed. It was outstanding. We usually have different flavor palates, but not this time. We split a platter with lamb, beef, and chicken and it was more than we could eat in one sitting. The food was made with care, flavorful, and the seasoning was done well without being overbearing. Will definitely have to eat here again next time we're in the area.

You Need this food in your belly. I had a mixed beef and lamb platter and it was probably the best lamb I've had, just Absolutely tender. The enormous portion of rice was likewise exceptional. A must try.
