Good sushi but consistently delivers without including chopsticks, even when specifically requested.

I love going to this place and they have good price. It's only take out, no eat in service. They also have in Barrhaven. The owner is a gentle and always on the go.

SUSHI is good
Good is SUSHI
Came here at around 4:20 pm after my local BARBERSHOP HAIRCUT that COSTS A QUARTER
Got the SUSHI and left with the SUSHI
Ate the SUSHI
I wish they had MUSTARD so I could put some MUSTARD on my MANGO SUSHI, but they don't... -1 atmosphere

I explained the flavor of the SUSHI PIZZA to my friend ADRIAN, gave him a sample, he gave it a 6-7, I gave him an early grave

THANK YOU SUSHI 29

My husband picked up some sushi a few days ago to try out this place as it was recommended. We were big fans, we felt like the rice wasn't cooked enough. The tuna wasn't great. The veggies were not bad though.
Place is apparently small and not very recent. We won't order again as we think there is better for the same price closer

I've been in search of decent sushi that won't break my bank (since I'd rather have decent sushi more regularly). And I'm glad I got sushi from sushi 29. It's a small takeout sushi joint that tbh didn't really scream out fresh food, but I was pleasantly surprised and was very glad to find this spot. Don't get me wrong. I still have few spots on my list to try but sushi 29 was a "I'll come back" from my list.
We ordered maki roll combo A (cali, sp tuna, salmon rolls), two breaded shrimps, tamago (egg) roll and imitation crab roll for my toddler, unagi and ikura and scallop nigiris, and some squid and salmon sashimi. Rolls were alright. Good bite size and not too much rice on them. The rice was also not undercooked or overcooked. Decent size fish in them too. My toddler had the egg roll and I cut them in half to be smaller, which he ate very well. Not so much crab roll though.
Nigiris and sashimi were quite fresh and the price for them was quite good. If anything, the price for the sushi here was cheaper than in BC so I was quite happy to find a spot that didn't have a California roll that wasn't over $10 (seemed to be a norm in ottawa which is bizarre). The sp tuna roll wasn't spicy though. But again, this seemed to be another norm in ottawa - spicy stuff not being really spicy? Breaded shrimps were alright. Not the typical Japanese style tempura but more like store bought shrimpies. Kinda reminded me a smaller version of shrimp tempura in the shrimp tacos from Costco. Iykyk.
Anyway we will be back. It was good and much better than sushi kan lol.

Wow! I’ll be back. I ordered a California roll, salmon avocado roll and a spicy salmon roll. It was perfect! The spicy sauce is very good. It has a different taste than our usually spot but I like it.

Food was average. So I ordered mango salad and it came with some greens and mango, no cucumber, no tomatoes no cashews (like in the pic on the menu). Also, I ordered a sushi pizza, was good but no tobiko and no crab in it. In general was good but they should send the dishes as described on their menu.

This is a hidden germ in Blackburn Hamlet! Our first time here and we are impressed. The food is fresh with generous portion. Will definitely be our go-to place for sushi and sashimi. Really glad that we found this place!
