A truly enchanting experience. We were welcomed with warm, graceful, and genuinely attentive service. The staff took their time guiding us through the tea selections with sincerity and thoughtful care, making every moment feel personal.

Stepping inside felt like being transported to a charming English tearoom, the wall décor, the elegant displays, and the beautifully arranged cups and plates on each table created an atmosphere that was refined, cozy, and wonderfully nostalgic.

The High tea set was beautifully curated, elegant in presentation and refined in flavour. Each item complemented the tea perfectly, creating a harmonious and comforting tasting experience that felt memorable and heartfelt.

The stunning lakeside view made our afternoon even more special. Sipping tea while gazing out at the calm water, with ships quietly sitting across the horizon, created a peaceful and almost poetic atmosphere. It was the perfect backdrop to relax, slow down, and truly savour the moment.

This is a wonderful place for everyone, whether you’re spending time with family, enjoying a quiet date with your partner, or sharing a peaceful afternoon tea with someone special. The setting is cozy, intimate, and ideal for meaningful conversations.

It brings together beauty, flavour, and tranquility with effortless elegance. A truly charming escape and a place we highly recommend.

We've been thinking about trying an English afternoon tea for quite some time, and had a pretty good time at Blue Willow Tea Shop. Being in the Gravenhurst waterfront area, we expected a bit of up mark in price, but we were quite pleasantly surprised to see that it was actually quite reasonable for what we received and when compared to other tea shops. We found ourselves bemused several times when the staff had to shoo tourists out of the dining area when they wandered in to look at the store displays, I'm not sure why they didn't just cordon off the area to save themselves the effort. The tea selection was expansive, and the savories were delicious. My partner is vegetarian and they were very accommodating by customizing her portion with options she could eat. I was quite happy with my first taste of clotted cream and scones. The desserts were a bit of a let-down, while some of the offerings were very good, I was a bit surprised to see what appeared and tasted like Costco two-bite cinnamon rolls on the plate. That being said, the rest was tasty, and we had to take the brownies home as there were just too many sweets for us. Would definitely try afternoon tea again based on my experience here.

It is very enjoyable to see a lot of great tableware full of the house. There are a lot of tea options for the high tea.

Four of us spent two hours yesterday at a window table, enjoying the sunshine, the beautiful view, and the delicious food. There was way too much so we all left with a box of goodies that went really well with a cup of tea at home this afternoon!

$100 for 2 people for a 3-level set. Quite enjoyable but too much to finish and therefore too expensive.
I would come back for the nice ambiance and view but only have the 2-level set. I'd also request to change a few items. The brie tasted of nothing and the cranberry spread was way too sweet. The egg tarts didn't taste of much either. The scones were good but deserve much more clotted cream.
The teas all were very good.

Stopped by on a beautiful Sunday. Shoulda walked out as soon as I walked in!! My BIGGEST mistake ever was not to follow my gut!!

Let’s just say the owners (whom I think their names were Karen and Karen) are always right and the customer is always wrong. They like to deflect instead taking responsibility. They definitely don’t behave like owners and treat customers with respect. They give Gravenhurst a bad name. Let me add they also treat their staff horribly and don’t like kids either…

Came in with friends, the lady at the front desk turned us RIGHT off from ever coming back. Super passive aggressive and rude. Snarked at us for asking if they had coffee and proceeded to snark further when asked if there were chai tea lattes. Super rude. Would never support an establishment like this. I am a local and this is very disappointing

I went to the blue willow tea shop to celebrate my birthday and I was very pleased, to say the least. The ambiance was really nice and the food was delicious. I will definitely be coming back.

Terrible experience here.
We arrived and place was completely empty but open.
We went in and they asked us to stand by door to be seated. No problem. There was a narrow hallway from entrance to tea restaurant.
We waited and waited. My husband went in to find someone to no avail.
Then a server came out in to hallway use the washroom and saw us. Still no one seated us.
After about 20-25 minutes we left.
Disgusted and disappointed.
To top it off it was my Birthday and this was going to be my Birthday luncheon surprise.

However Rotsky’s which was close by made us feel welcome and the food was superb.
They even gave me a free dessert for my Birthday.
Save your time and avoid High Tea at The Blue Willow.
Head to that wonderful place in Toronto in Victoria or anywhere else for that matter.

Gravenhurst is a truly lovely community and stop if you are travelling to or from the Cottage Country. (between Sudbury & Toronto).
The Blue Willow Tea Shop is located in the impressive Cockburn Square, where you are sure to find something of interest on this picturesque waterfront and creatively designed park area complete with gazebos, picnic areas, unique stores, washroom facilities, ample parking and amazing views.
The Blue Willow Tea Shop is a diamond amongst the many gems to choose from. It is a wonderful treat amongst beautiful surroundings. Whether you are looking for a traditional English ‘cuppa’ & wonderful treats on a 3-tiered cake stand or just wanted to shop for a TRULY WIDE & WONDERFUL assortment of AMAZING jams, jellies and unique gifts etc direct from England, this is the place to take your favourite Aunt, Grandma, visitor or loved one. They will love you for it and remember it forever.
I had my relatives over from Wales and the UK and they adored it. Unfortunately, I also had my ‘man’s best friend’ with us so were unable to indulge in all there was to offer but I did pick up a Mrs Darlington Blackberry & Apple Jam & a Wilkin & Sons Damson Conserve for delicious treats on our cross country road trip.
