My fiancé and I decided on The Creative Plate for our wedding dinner. Best decision we could’ve made! First off the staff was so attentive. The atmosphere with Perry playing was perfect! The food was A+. So many fresh delicious options! Everyone left complimenting us on our restaurant choice :) and last but certainly not least, Connie is simply the best! She loves what she does and IT SHOWS!!

I'm amazed by the food every time I come here. The menu is constantly changing meaning I always get to try something new and exciting. They even offer going off menu and letting the chefs decide for the table. The service is good l, but like any restaurant there can be small slip ups which I easily overlook because the food is just so good.In the future I would like to see a bigger road sign and credit machines (rather than cash/atm).

Jewel of the Muskoka! The owner Connie is such a welcoming, attentive, knowledgeable and friendly women. My family and friends ate here few times already and will keep coming back for sure. We are foodies who love local foods, fresh and local ingredients and simple, yet creative and clean food. And we found it here. My small children were accommodated with sharing juicy chicken Parmesan, I had fabulous vegan stuffed squash. Thank you Connie for the wine parting recommendation and home made chocolate mud pie. Yummy!

The best restaurant in Muskoka and our island is across from it, almost! We ate there often last summer during our build. A lot of detail in their menu. The owner is an absolute delight!

Upon first entering the restaurant was warm and the staff was very friendly. There was also one person with a guitar singing which was a nice touch. Our group of 4 ordered a nice bottle of wine, 3 apps and 4 entrees. One very nice idea is that they have surprise meals on their menu. It's exactly what it says - a surprise, so you are taking a chance. We ordered the surprise app and one surprise meal. The app ended up being a basket a deep fried shark, onion rings and shrimp. The surprise meal was a veal chop with a deep fried pineapple. The food was good except we felt everything was very heavy - either lots of sauce or deep fried. I ordered a chicken breast with artichoke and peppers in a cream sauce and when it came I was very surprised that it was heavily breaded and deep fried. There was nothing on the menu description to indicate it was breaded and fried. I tried to find something a little more healthy so you can imagine my surprise. Also the lamb shank was ordered and we felt it tasted very gamey. On a positive note our server Cheryl was extremely nice and pleasant. After we ate she asked us about our meals and when we told her she was apologetic and said she wished she had known earlier and would have provided another option. The menu apparently changes frequently and my suggestion would be to have more health conscious options as well. They have a beautiful location right on the water and looks like there might be a nice patio.

Happened upon this gem with our friends. Delicious stuffed pasta, pork medallions, ginger chicken and osso buco. All full of flavour and plated perfectly. Friendly staff and on Saturday evening music by solo guitarist Perry. Highly recommend. A+

Nice spot overlooking lake muskoka, quite good food, and very friendly, prompt service. What was particularly good about our meals was that they didn't hold back on the expensive stuff: the fish and chips had lots of fish and a very moderate amount of batter, and my pork dish had a very generous amount of pork (it was a little dry but still a good dish overall). The vegetables were good too. Be forewarned that they only take cash now.

We had two extremely unsatisfactory experiences here. Firstly, we looked on their site and were advised that they close at 9pm and the last seating is half an hour prior to closing. When we got there at 8pm we were turned away because they all wanted to go to a concert and had turned off the appliances. Not to be discouraged we gave a second chance the next day. We went for lunch so that we were sure not to get turned away. When we arrived we were told that they only accepted cash and that we could use their ATM with a $1.50 charge. I am VEGAN and went to this establishment because they are recommended for their vegan options. I ordered the vegan mushroom dish. When the mushroom dish arrived, I realized it was covered in cow's milk cheese. When I asked the server she agreed that she mistakenly gave the vegan dish to another customer and there was no more vegan cheese so I could not have a replacement. When I asked her for another vegan dish from their menu, she went to the back and told me that they no longer had any vegan items. She did not offer to give me anything else to make up for the mushroom dish and I was forced to pay and leave without a meal. When I got my bill, she also overcharged me for my drink, a ceasar cocktail. Apparently, they also charge extra for the vegan cocktails, but she still charged me much more than their listed price for the vegan cocktail. It was a disaster and major disappointment. If you are vegan or vegetarian STAY AWAY. Go to the nearest grocery store instead. That was two nights that I was left hungry because of this falsely advertised establishment.
