The front desk of this Lake Bay Pier is filled with all kinds of wine, but I didn't even order a glass of water, just because my hands and feet felt cold that day. I thought friends who like drinking will definitely come here for a small drink. I thought my body would heat up quickly, but how could I, a non-drinker, think of this problem? No one can understand the joy of having a meal and a meal alone. 😂I didn’t expect to be messed up by the driver. Hahaha😂😂😂 I can only take it away. If I encounter this situation again next time, I will sit down and enjoy it slowly, and then skip one scenic spot. This is not impossible. , then it depends on whether the next itinerary is only in the surrounding area, right?

Parking: There are plenty of parking spaces. A friend said that there were many people going here before the epidemic. Compared with now, the number of people coming here has obviously dropped a lot. Honeymoon Lake❤️The long promenade-like outdoor restaurant next to the heart-shaped lake bay parking lot The empty seats remind people of what it was like in its prosperous days!

So, to end a beautiful weekend !! I've decided to take my wife and my 2-year-old son for lunch at this place.

My son loved the lake, he was very happy to play by the dock with his mother. While he was playing outside, I was able to get us a table by the patio, while on our way to the restaurant, he started to throw a little tantrum cos he still wanted to play outside, the receptionist then approached me and said, " IF HE'S (MY SON) GOING TO CONTINUE CRYING, HE WOULDN'T BE ABLE TO ASSIST/USHER US TO OUR TABLE AND RECOMMENDS US TO STEP OUT OF THE RESTAURANT AND TO DEAL WITH MY BOY'S TANTRUM ". I guess he did not want us to disturb other guests sitting. Maybe?

The restaurant (while on our way in) in my observation was about 10% occupied with a 0/zero/empty dining. So I'm not pretty sure if that approach was even necessary

Now this is a fact and I'll let you decide or think for yourself about what would you do/feel if the reception you get is similar to ours. Like all parents, we do have tricks-up-our-sleeves for certain situation/s that can be deployed to remediate a situation and I was able to get him in quietly with no issues.

Now, that we were sitting at our table, my son enjoying his math-show, we were then welcomed by our waitress, her name was Mercedes, and to be fair she was nice to us.

Now Muskoka in general is a beautiful place, so nothing is new to me when it comes to scenery/view as I always go out here and ride motorcycles with my friends.

I was informed that the crab cakes and calamari were good, so I went ahead and ordered them. But truth be told, it's pretty average, or maybe less. It did not hold the level of expectation that was imposed on us right from the time we were told to exit the restaurant to deal with my son's tantrum.

My wife had the octopus ink pasta, again, very upsetting/disappointing.

For myself, I ordered a cheeseburger with fries to share with my boy, and even that was very upsetting, I wouldn't even consider throwing that burger to the lake for the fish to eat! That's how bad it is ! Too freaking dry!

Altogether, our bill came up to $140 (which as you may already appreciate that I'm not happy to pay but I did) plus the tip so it went to about $160. Mercedes our waitress was nice, so giving a little extra made us happy, BUT THIS RESTAURANT, DID NOT AT ALL MAKE US SATISFIED OR AT THE VERY LEAST WELCOMED.

Instead of wasting your time in this restaurant, go to Boston Pizza which is conveniently located across their main entrance instead, you'll spend less, same atmosphere and probably we'll MAKE YOU leave happy.

Or, maybe don't go here if you have your kids with you !!! LOL, just kidding, we all get defensive when it comes to our loved ones.

The restaurant is on the lake and it's gorgeous but the food was hit or miss and wasn't great. We had the chicken supreme the it was so dry. It Sat on top of an apple polenta cake which was ok and the flavour combos worked. Hubby had the squid pasta with squid ink fettuccine and it was so bland it was difficult to eat. They don't have a kids menu but offered plain penne for them. I asked if it's a kids portion but the portion that came was huge, even more than adult size and I hate to see so much food go to waste. The pasta texture was odd as well, unsure if it was gluten free penne that was provided.
The chocolate cake was good, but unlikely they made it in house. The prices here for what you get is too high. 12 $ for a giant scoop of ice cream as kind of ridiculous. And no offerings for kids is disappointing. Despite the goregous views, I don't recommend

The food was not that great, the fish and rice we ordered costed $28 , small portion and the rice was not cooked. We only ate 20% of it. They gave me a dark chocolate cake dessert to compensate, the cake was the best part of the lunch. Very pricey not recommended

Service was great, very attentive and friendly!

We are very sorry to leave a bad a review but honestly the food taste and quality is not good at all. Tasteless food, octopus tasted weird and pasta didn’t taste right either. And we expected better cocktails and food given the price.

No better place is Muskoka to sit waterside for a peaceful fine dining experience. The seafood chowder is outstanding. Caesar salad light and fresh and the corn bread. Mmm have the steak slider you will not be disappointed!!! This place closes Thanksgiving weekend for the winter so hurry !
