We just celebrated Ron's 90th bd at Swiss Chalet, Bracebridge, with 30 of his dearest family and friends. Thank you Swiss Chalet for making it happen!

The order was painfully placed over the phone. The operator was so full of herself that tye order took longer than it needed to. I had the order organized & once she realized that, everything ran smoothly. I was exhausted by the end of that 13 minute conversation!! Ordering online was Worse!! They offer a special ‘2 can dine for $20.99’ (price may vary) & I had 6 quarter chicken orders. The ‘deal’ only applies to 1 set of 2… the rest are full price! However, if I made several different orders, I could get the deal. 😩 The staff inside preparing food were nice & respectful. So, over $120 later… my order was picked up (because they don’t offer delivery 10 mins down the road in Kilworthy. We are disappointed in the quarter chicken pieces. They’re small!!! This will NOT bring us back as return customers, that’s for sure.

Had a great time with family for dining in. We ordered the whole chicken with sides. Chicken was tender and moist. Looking forward to going again soon!

Since August, our last 3 orders have been missing items. I do not live in town, by the time I get home, I am not turning around and going back for a screw up that should have been checked over.
Always order the family pack. The last 3 times there has been no chalet sauce, asked for the legs (dark meat) and get 1/4 chickens instead. Last 2 times we got the donuts which never come with the shown sauce, the most recent one last week had rock hard buns that I could bang on the counter. Certainly not fresh by any means. I have written by email twice to let store owners know that staff aren't double checking before sending out food. This round I haven't gotten a response.
3 strikes and I officially give up.
I will also add it was not busy, there was one other vehicle in the drive through that got their meal and drove away, I was asked to park around the side to wait, did not have to wait very long.

Very disappointed
The chicken was so dry I had to use a sharp sarated knife to cut it into pieces and then soak it in sauce. The bun was like concrete. The fries are not true Swiss chalet fries. I ordered extra dipping sauce and it never made it into the bag. And all this (2 meals) for 43 bucks. Can buy a whole chicken from Costco for a fraction of that and they are consistently 10/10 rotisserie chickens. Id say this will be the last visit to the Swiss for our family.....

Usually when you order a Chicken Caesar Salad you would find Chicken in it. "It's in the other bag" he said, "No it's not" I said. "How about croutons and cheese are these optional too?"
I also ordered a 1/4 chicken white meat dinner, boy the portions keep getting smaller.

This isn't a true Swiss Chalet - it's a Harveys that serves chicken. It was fine, but not great - definitely well done and 'waiting' for someone to come to Harvey's and ask for chicken. The fries weren't the typical SC style - they were Harvey's fries and meh!! Service was prompt but basic - not the Swiss Chalet experience I was looking for. I will choose a different location next time I'm in Ontario - a dine in, sit down, Swiss Chalet ONLY locale.

This is not a sit down restaurant. I stood in line for 15 minutes behind one person to order. Avoid if you want Swiss Chalet. I'm sure it's fine for Harvey's.

The lady completely messed up my order. I guess you need to triple check and even then, I bet it will be wrong. Avoid.

I am an avid fan of Swiss Chalet, I have been for years. I usually go to the Orillia location as they are extremely efficient, food is fresh, and the service is great. I decided to try the Gravenhurst location, it is a half Harveys and a half Swiss Chalet. This was the worst experience at any location I have ever had.

The line had about 8 people waiting to order, it was obvious right away that they were catering to the drive through and not the restaurant. Twenty minutes later we ordered, and waited for the food to come to the table. The table next to us was stacked up with plates of unfinished food, we figured they would be removed, which of course did not happen and as we left it was still there. Of course they brought the wrong orders, forgot the gravy, forgot the extra dressings, and the food was absolute garbage. Chicken was dry and tasteless, salad was dry and the fries were straight out of a sourced frozen bag, one that feeds the Harveys fans. Water all over the floors, the place ws a pigsty, and it really smelled so bad we had to leave half way through dinner. People that were outside in the picnic area were also complaining, and taking the food back for refunds. The woman at the register said they were short staffed and did apologize.
This is NOT a Swiss Chalet restaurant, it just has the sign. This is a Harveys restaurant. The place is filthy, food left on tables, and messy. They should close it down and serve burgers. I would never go back, do not waste your money, I have enjoyed this restaurant for over 25 years.
