Nice bakery with pleasant atmosphere. Unfortunately it is just a better version of Tim Horton’s. I bought some scones and they were worse than from the Independent supermarket. The Big River Baking Co.. in Bracebridge is much better place for gourmet lovers.

A little gem in the heart of Muskoka. The apple fritters are amazing. Their breads are wonderful as well. The line ups of cottagers on Fridays in the summer say it all!!

Fantastic products and kind, efficient service. The sausage roll is an absolute must and I was so happy to find a savoury treat! The chocolate donut and cinnamon twist are worth it! I didn’t buy any yet, but I’m looking forward to trying their sourdough bread next.

Its not open Mondays even though Google says it is.
I wasn't very impressed with my visit.. I ordered an éclair which was very small and it cost me $5.20. The éclair was delicious, but it was gone in a few bites, and I felt ripped off afterwards. Over $5.00 for an éclair is way too expensive, especially considering the size of them. I won't be going back because I can get at least 2 or 3X the amount of éclairs for the same price elsewhere. Also, I waited quite a while in line to get my éclair. It was quite busy in there, and I don't understand the hype, especially with the prices. I think $3.50 or $4.00 would be more than fair for what I got. If they lowered their prices a bit, I would consider going back, but definitely not with the way things are priced now.

This place has been a MUSKOKA iconic institution and stopping place since I was a kid visiting coming to my aunt's cottage in Port Carling. Kudos to the Rebelein Family for staying strong all these years and especially surviving the COVID years!!!!
Anyone new MUST get here early if you want to get anything. Such a small front servery presents magnificent amounts of pies, Chelsea buns, weighty doughnuts and MASSIVE apple fritters.

Unfortunately this bakery has good pastries, however, the service here is absolutely horrendous. Not sure if it was because we had kids with us, but all of the people serving behind the counter were outwardly annoyed that were in there. Very unhelpful and rude. We were very quick in making our choices but it seemed like we were and inconvenience, even though we were paying polite customers. Our family has had a cottage here for over 70 years and we will never be back.
As far as bakeries go, this one on/around Lake Muskoka has the donuts, IMO.
Delightful. They taste wonderful, and though it's hard to stop at one, a second may be 'too' many! Such sweet extravagances!
Finally, a bakery that doesn't skrimp on donut size like nearly all others. And the chocolate donuts actually do taste chocolatey.
Yes, they have numerous other pastry offerings, none of them burnt!
There were two picnic tables around the side of the building, and Gull Lake Park nearby... if you can wait that long to inhale.
Only for the sweet of tooth...
