This a wonderful restaurant, the atmosphere very comfortable with a bistro feel. Our meals were delicious, I had the Lake Erie Perch, and spouse had the beef stroganoff. For dessert I had a Vegan blueberry icing chocolate cake, she a the tiramisu cheese cake. It was a really relaxing evening. The staff we very nice.

We’ve dined here a few times, and I felt it deserved a review. The staff are always welcoming, though during our last visit they seemed a bit short-staffed. It took some time for our orders to be taken, but once placed, the food arrived quickly and was delicious.
One drawback was the service after the meal—no one came by for a drink refill or to offer dessert for quite a while. By the time someone did, my appetite for another drink or dessert had already passed.
That said, it remains a wonderful place to enjoy a meal, with warm hospitality and consistently good food.

What a delightful dining experience! Even for a vegetarian, I found the food absolutely satisfying. The garbage rolls were incredibly tasty, and the salad was a pleasant surprise - with seeds and unique ingredients that added an extra flair. The burger was delicious, but the fries truly stole the show - perfectly crispy and flavorful. I highly recommend trying out The Oar Restaurant for a delicious meal!

We had an amazing experience at The Oar Restaurant on Muskoka Road. The atmosphere was warm, cozy, and very inviting, perfect for both locals and visitors. The hospitality was excellent; the waitresses were kind, friendly, and made us feel very welcome from the moment we walked in.
The menu offered a decent variety of food and drinks, especially impressive for a local restaurant. The taste and portion sizes were perfectly balanced and delicious, fresh, and satisfying.
Another great point is the plenty of free parking spots, which makes visiting here even more convenient. Overall, it’s a wonderful spot for a relaxing meal with great service and excellent food. Highly recommended.
