We are a large group of friends that have had the pleasure of having our Christmas Party (and other celebrations) at Aberfoyle Mill for the past few years. John and the team have ALWAYS gone above and beyond to make our night special and accommodate our special requests with total professionalism. The food is delicious and the atmosphere is both elegant and casual - perfect for our needs. Thank you from all of us!

I recently visited Aberfoyle Mill with a party of six. The ambiance was truly lovely, and we appreciated the warm atmosphere on a busy night. Our server was professional and efficient, although not particularly friendly. My group shared a similar sentiment.
I ordered the shrimp linguine. The shrimp were de-tailed, which initially made me think the dish would be easy to enjoy, but I unexpectedly bit down on a piece of wooden skewer hidden in the pasta. For the price point, this kind of oversight was disappointing and affected the overall experience.
Aberfoyle Mill is a nice place, but the food quality didn’t match the price on this occasion.

We went for dinner here and decided to have their steak dinner.
Our steaks were done to perfection, tender, juicy and flavourful.
We’ve had steaks in every prominent restaurant in Guelph but none have been as good as the steaks we had here.
The waitress was a delight to talk to and she made sure our requests were conveyed to the chef.
The decor hasn’t changed much over the years but in a way it’s comforting to have familiar surroundings without the chaos, glitz and loud music while enjoying a delicious peaceful dinner.

We visited after the market for a quick lunch. They accomodated our small children, and the food was delicious and reasonably priced. It's very elegant, but welcoming and the interior makes you feel like you are in a different time. Very cool, worth a visit if in the area.

Service was fantastic, friendly and quick. Salad was good, fresh, the Mennonite bacon a nice touch. Prime rib was tender, perfectly medium rare, flavorful and generous, even the eight ounce felt like lots. Carrot, potatoes and green beans were perfectly cooked and very flavorful.
Desert was fantastic. We had the fiber spice cake and it was out of this world.

We had our wedding here in September and it was even more beautiful than we could have imagined. The Aberfoyle Mill went above and beyond to make us and our guests happy on the special day. The grounds are simply beautiful, and we had a lovely ceremony and cocktail hour outside enjoying the scenery. The room upstairs for the dinner reception was cozy and inviting and so charming. It's hard to find such authentic charm and character like that these days. The food was so delicious, all of our guests complimented it. The service was excellent too, kind and friendly. Aberfoyle Mill is one of a kind. I look forward to eating there again!

Very expensive buffet. Quality was average, the dessert selection was poor, but the service was excellent.
