Parking is just a huge problem at this place, otherwise it is a nice place to hangout.
Friendly staff and great atmosphere.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’re from Vancouver and stumbled upon Balzac’s Coffee in Guelph—wow, what a gem! We’ve been here three days in a row and can’t get enough. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, making every visit a joy. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, with lovely patrons engaging with our 3-year-old, which made our time so special. The coffee? Hands-down the best oat milk latte I’ve ever had outside my own kitchen—pure perfection! The banana chocolate chip muffin and lemon tart were absolutely divine, bursting with flavor. Balzac’s has our hearts, and we’ll be back every time we’re in Guelph!
Disappointing and overrated. Sugar free syrup is an additional charge, my drink was $9 after tax. Quite expensive and wasn't anything special.
Perfect spot for a good coffee ☕️
Good coffee, good decor, ok service.
Just started frequenting Balzacs looking for a Canadian coffee shop, and couldn't be happier. The service has been great, and the coffee is excellent.
Plus they have mobile order like larger places.
Love the coffee , its was busy could not find place to sit but I would love to come here for the coffee and mocha ☕️ 🌷
Amazing coffee, the specials are always delicious. This place is so nice, French vibe and the sun coming in, food is expensive but good, if you plan to go to sit and hang there lots of times there’s no place so always check first !
Love they are open later than most coffee house in Guelph.
Find the store a bit grotty looking.
Floor needs a good sweep and mop.
Drinks are a tad pricey.
Capistrano is my go to.
Much cleaner and more reasonable prices

My husband snd I went in find it full of students and laptops, no tables to be had. One person on till and making drinks. Not impressed.
What a fabulous find! I had seen Balzac's coffee in grocery stores and did not realize that they had a location in Guelph! Excellent street-level location with eclectic decor, beautiful windows allowing lots of natural light and great views. Friendly staff and super fresh-roasted brewed coffee. Try the almond croissant but share it with a friend (or eat it as a meal 😋) Clean, spacious, beautifully-tiled washroom. Welcoming and cozy.
One of the best coffee places in town, service is good too. This place has become our go to for morning coffees
One of the best chai lattes I have had in a long time. The blueberry scone was pretty yummy too!!
I like your coffee shop, but you need to update your Friday hours! Popped over at 719am to find the doors locked/lights out and Google says you're open!
