Got the nachos, huge portion and they were delicious! With waffle cut fries.
Not really sure what all the negative reviews are for on Bobby O'Brien's, no complaints from us.

Atmosphere is what you would expect from an Irish sports bar. The service was on point and very friendly. I had the wings. They were great. And you can't beat the price on Thursday's evening after 7 pm for 49 cents per. I was happy.

This was the worst service I’ve ever experienced. I used to work in the food industry so I get the busy atmosphere. We arrived at 5:15pm. We didn’t have anyone come to our table till 5:45pm. We ordered food and drink right away. I ordered my son’s kids burger to go and told her that he was playing in the intermission for the Guelph storm game so he needed to go. Our beer never came till 6:20pm?! I would have had a couple more drinks by then! (I wasn’t driving) My son’s burger didn’t come till 6:35pm. He was already gone. We never got asked if we want more drinks. So with a party of 12 you would think that you would be there and sell as much as you can because that’s an easy money maker. I had to stop our waitress and ask when our food was coming because we had to leave at 7pm. I didn’t want to miss my son on the ice. Our food came at 6:45pm. We had to eat it so fast it was just an awful experience. I will never go back to this place.

Years ago, I really enjoyed this restaurant. On January 25, 2025, it was so cold that we (5 people) ate with our winter coats on. The staff wore hoodies zipped up. The staff have complained to the owner that customers are wearing costs, but the temps have remained cold for WEEKS. Although the restaurant was perhaps 20% occupied, our food took 40 minutes to arrive. We had 3 orders of fish and chips and 1 of nachos. The fish was lukewarm. (Our server said the Nachos were the hold-up.) We had to be at the River Run for 8 p.m., so we didn't have time to finish our meals. Thankfully, we paid in full BEFORE our meals arrived, just to speed up our exit.

I have been to this location countless times and had Hannah Smith the recent time, her customer service was through the roof she was so kind and made us feel so welcome. The atmosphere was so fun I’m excited to go back in hopes to have Hannah again.

I'm very disappointed, 6 different beers on a Friday night not available. The beer I did have on tap as warm, the food was ice cold and overpriced. Wow. They must own the building because there is no way thier paying rent and service this trash. Your servers are trying so hard, and the kitchen staff and management are letting them and the customers down big time.

This place is awesome. The wings were so good, only 10 bucks for a pound after a storm game. A good ratio of drums to flats. The girls were really nice. I wish they sold the kilts!

I would like to start this review off by saying that under normal circumstances I would refrain from leaving a review at all. However, my dining experience was so bad I feel compelled to warn others. After being seated our party waited for nearly a half an hour to be attended to, at which point we placed both our drink and dinner orders. Multiple people in our party order appetizers under the impression that they were half-price after 8pm. After waiting at least another half an hour, our food arrived which included a burger that looked like it had been processed through a food dehydrator and thrown onto the plate. What’s more, it was the wrong burger. After eating our food we waited at least another hour to be attended to, at which point we asked for the bills and take-out boxes. After another 15-20 minutes, our bills arrived. For those that ordered appetizers, the advertised discount was not applied because, on event nights, they do not apply this discount. This would have been excellent to know before we ordered them. They were however still offering a $0.49 weekly wing special, but would not provide a takeout box for five remaining wings on a three pound order. When I asked about the lack of a discount on the appetizer, which was not advertised anywhere in the menu or the restaurant, I was curtly told that it was meant to be communicated verbally, which it definitely was not.
The moral of the story: we will not be returning.

I would come somewhat regularly about 15 years ago when I lived in Guelph before. It was not as busy as then. Burgers are good and priced well. Will be returning frequently. I didn't get the server's name but he was great. I will recommend and return with more friends.

Wings were absolutely disgusting, our server was fine just slow at times (understandable) The beer was awful almost as if they didn’t change the keg or let the keg rot in the back without it being refrigerated. Definitely won’t be going back.
