First time visiting Buon Gusto to celebrate my husband’s birthday and our first week married. Wow, the food is so delicious and the portions are great! We were gifted a glass of champagne on the house too. Our experience was great and we will definitely be back!

Food quality has changed here. Used to love the flavours but now they seem more tomatoe-y than flavoured by wine. Pizza dough is tough, a little bit tooooo burnt around the edges, and their menu has remained the same over the years that there is nothing new to try anymore. Tiramisu lady fingers have an off taste, gelato is not really gelato. This restaurant used to remind me of food in Italy but not anymore unfortunately.

What a redemption for Buon Gusto!
We came here about 3 years ago and were quite dissapointed in both the menu and service. Today, we decided to give them another go, entirely prepared to be dissappointed. To our utter delight, we were treated to one of the best dining experiences we've had in quite a while. From the drinks to appetizers, mains to desserts, everything was delicious. The staff were beyond kind and attentive without being overbearing in any way. You can just tell that from front to back, this place is ran with love.
We ordered: Burrata — larger portion than we expected, absolutely delicious spread Pork Belly — just delicious, perfectly cooked & the arugula's dressing was an unexpected treat. Braised Beef Cheek — everything you could want from a braised beef dish. Perfectly cooked and seasoned beautifully. Ricotta Gnudi — truffle mushroom gnocchi is an all time favourite of mine, if it's on the menu, I'm getting it. Again, delicious, though I personally would order it again without the pickled red onions, but that's a personal preference!

New management has turned this place around.
We visited with my partner's parents 3 years ago and our experience was less than stellar. Service was slow, food was over-cooked and uninspired, and portions and quality didn't justify the price.
My partner and I had basically written off Buon Gusto as over-priced and over-hyped.
Today, we decided to try our luck. Our apps came out and we were already convinced something had changed, so we asked. Turns out, a year ago, Buon Gusto came under new management. There's a palpable difference in food quality and service that was immediately noticeable.
Mains arrived and it was clear Buon Gusto deserved its high praise. Food was perfect, drinks were perfect, service was perfect. We wouldn't have changed a thing. We used to avoid Buon Gusto, but we may be new regulars.
Great job to the new management all of their staff. Guelph should be proud.
Celebrated a birthday here recently, everything was amazing! The tiramisu was so good. Will definitely come back.

The mushroom and tomato soups which were delicious. Ordered the beef cheeks which was tender however all the garnishes were cold. Some type of sauce would have been nice.

During our lunch date visit we ate an amazing meal. We started with Bruschetta, and the Insalata Caprese. We followed up with a Miele Drogato and a Pistachio pizza. While all the food was amazing the Pistachio pizza had us in heaven. My wife had her eyes closed and I was dancing due to how delicious it was. Magda our server was very attentive and polite. We were also treated to a viewing of some upcoming menus items by Ali. Will definitely be going back.
