The menu looked great and the food was good (not great though). I will likely go back given the vegan guarantee at this restaurant. I'll try ordering something different next time. Very relaxed atmosphere & pleasant people working. My dining companion is not a vegan; however, he said he would choose to go there again. That's the ultimate compliment!

We had the zucchini and chickpea fritters to share, which were super rad. They were unfortunately out of the vegan omelette, but I had a really tasty tofu scramble as my main entree. There are more lunch than breakfast entrees on the menu, but you'll find plenty to make you happy at any time of day.

This is my favourite place to get lunch from - healthy, delicious vegan options. Excellent customer service. It's very easy to order through their Instagram or call for takeout. Highly recommend the red riot smoothie and kale salad. They also have great gluten free baking and a new take-away fridge with soups, salad dressings and other made-in-store goods to take home.

Cute place with vegan food and beverages.Had a breakfast burrito and enjoyed it. My friend got a butter tart which unfortunately was very liquidy but still tasty! Glad I finally got the chance to try this place. Everything is made in house and there is lovely local art as the decor.

Comfort food executed to perfection. The staff are delightful and engaging. Make sure to try the biscuits and gravy. It's an incredibly cozy little spot, you'll feel at home. They have some neat desserts too, hazelnut torte etc. It's so exciting to have an awesome Vegan cafe in Guelph! The friendly staff, the well lit restaurant, and the overall vibe - a high recommend.

I had mac and 'cheese' and he had a grill 'cheese' sandwich. Mine was very good but his sandwich was divine! I had two bites of his grill cheese and I am still craving it two weeks later. They make all their 'cheese' from scratch and even sell it. We've tried several different kinds of vegan cheese from various stores and nothing has come even close to Cadence cheese. As cheese is pretty much the only thing we miss being vegan, it was a grand relief to find out we can still enjoy some of our favorite foods. Btw, their vegan grilled cheese tasted better than any dairy grilled cheese that I've ever had.

I love the food but it's nothing crazy - home-y meals. Price is very high for the portion size and quality of food. I had asked what butter substitute they use because it tasted so great and was told it was "just the vegan Becel from the store".. I have eaten here a few times and it has always been a very steep bill for what I've gotten, however I will continue to dine here for smaller meals less often as the food is tasty.

Portions are generous, something for everyone....and enjoyed by meat lovers too! Gluten free. Nut free, soy free options readily available...substitution never a problem. Will be going back often! This is a new discovery for me. Nourishing and exciting and delicious plant-based food. A friend introduced me to Cadence and I have returned on my own. Both trips were a delight. I had the soup the first time and it was so creamy I had to be convinced that it did not contain cream. Last trip had me try the Green Curry. Stupendous! The friendly staff, the well lit restaurant, and the overall vibe - a high recommend.

I was excited about this place after reading all the reviews, and I’m sure it’s great if you have a whole evening for a meal. It doesn’t make sense that a place so busy has only one chef on a Friday night, and it also doesn’t make sense that a place with one chef seems so popular. We waited over an hour for our food, which was pretty good, even though one of our orders was wrong. Unfortunately we didn’t have another hour to wait for the right meal.
