Capistrano Bistro & Espresso Bar

I recently visited this charming bistro and espresso bar in the heart of the city, and it didn’t disappoint. The baked goods were fresh and delicious, and both the coffee and hot chocolate were expertly crafted. They offer a great variety of brunch options, all served quickly by a friendly team. The cozy vibe makes it a perfect spot to relax, and the central location is a definite plus. Highly recommended for a tasty bite or a caffeine fix!

Always super nice service! Their dinner wear is so cute and simple, and the ambiance is nice. Whether you order one $2 item or a whole meal the service is the same. I love that it doesn’t get too loud in here! Prices are very fair as well! Cheaper than most small cafes in the area. Most of all the food is sooooo good. I love these guys, the type of place where they remember your name :) pls try the chicken avocado panini

Best coffee in town! My Americanos are always ultra robust and delicious. The couple who own and run this cafe / restaurant are extremely nice. The food is also very good. So many sleeps until the patio reopens.

A nice short walk from my workplace to this quaint Bistro! Always friendly, relaxing atmosphere. I normally have the same thing when i go, as i find it amazing ( Smoky Chicken Sandwich on herbed Focaccia bread) and soup of the day. The soups made never disappoint!!!!!

Beautiful cafe/wine bar in the heart of downtown. Staff is super friendly, the inside decor is very cool with wood paneling and rustic mirrors. The outside has a huge patio for enjoying your beverage or food while being immersed in the downtown vibe.

This may be more or less important depending on who you are. I needed to kill some time during the work day while waiting for a train. They have a sign saying they may restrict laptop use during peak times. Fair enough. I asked if I could use my laptop, they said sure. Then once I had already paid for my coffee and sat down, they told me they have no internet.

If you need a coffee shop to work, this isn’t it. The atmosphere is nice but I personally found the above experience a tad ‘slimy’ and won’t be back, either for this or for any other reason. Just left a bad taste in my mouth.

Visited Guelph and a friend took me to Capistrano for Brunch. I am very fussy about my tea and the the pot of Red Rose was PERFECTLY brewed. I had the Avocado toast which had a great texture from the sour dough bread but more enjoyable were the sunflower seeds sprinkled on top.

Owners have no respect for their employees, I have witnessed them speaking to them condescendingly and rudely multiple times. I have also heard from multiple prior employees that they were not treated well, which is why they are not able to hold on to an employee for more than a few months. Subpar food and drinks, but not worth supporting bad people, especially the bald one.
