Great local secret. Most of the food options up on Woodlawn (fast food etc) are poor quality, but Captain Jack's is a local gem. Fast, hot, fresh (fried!) food. Give it a try.

Oh my goodness you guys! Everything on the Gluten free menu was delicious! The breaded shrimp was out of this world, along with the Cajun shrimp and English style Halibut with amazing thick fries that tasted 100% home made and fresh.
It was cozy and quiet but the service was so fast and friendly, and the food was without fault. Highly recommend.

Amazing Halibut and Chips, light batter is the go to. Amazing in house made tartar sauce and coleslaw. Fries and Onion rings are always amazing. As well As the house made clam chowder soup.

Excellent fish! I upgraded to onion rings, and I will probably go back just for an order of onion rings! So damn good. The restaurant was fairly clean and I love the pictures all over the wall of different places! The service was fine, but the guy was working alone and seems like he could use another employee to help customers while he’s cooking. Other than that it’s my new favourite place for fish and onion rings!
