My husband and I had our wedding dinner at Diana Downtown and it was absolutely perfect. The food and service were incredible, as always, and everyone in our party was very happy and well taken care of.
There were plenty of food options for everyone — we had a number of people with dietary restrictions (vegan, vegetarian, gluten free) as well as children and seniors who preferred lighter fare. Everyone was accommodated and very happy with their meals.
Diana Downtown is one of our favourite restaurants in Guelph, and we were so happy to have our celebration at a place that means so much to us! Everyone on staff was wonderful and kind and supremely helpful and accommodating about all aspects of the planning.
Can’t recommend Diana Downtown enough, whether for a casual lunch or for the most special occasions.

We were there for a very special family celebration tonight, and I couldn’t have been more pleased with how we were all received (large party of 20 people).
Staff was so welcoming from the moment we walked in. So friendly. Attentive.
The food was fantastic! They even allowed for me to bring a cake and had a table set up for its display in the perfect spot.

We decided to make a quick stop at this place to grab some tea after spending the day outside with the kids on a chilly Saturday. 4 adults & 4 kids, we ordered 5 tea and 3 chocolate cake slices.
Although the food was good, the restaurant manager didn’t have the smartness to indicate that tea being ordered was a whole pitcher, and not just a cup. We (4 adults and 1 teen) were served 5 pitchers full of masala chai, as if we were going to have chai for dinner. After raising our concern with the manager, he didn’t even share our concern and simply offered us some extra cups if we wanted to take away the remaining chai.
In total we paid $76 for 3 cake slices and 5 pitchers of tea (which could easily have been 2) should the management had informed us properly.

My husband and I checked this restaurant out from a friend’s recommendation. I’m normally a little hesitant to try Indian food because I have a lower spice tolerance, but everything I tried had a sweetness to it that balanced the spiciness. Our server was lovely and the ambience was so nice. Next time I’m in Guelph I definitely want to stop by again and try some other options :)
