I cannot believe I'm writing this review as I use to be a regular, for 2+ years.
Sadly, I don't go there anymore after a disappointing experience with the owner last year. He was rude, condensing, and acted like I didn't know what I was talking about with the issue I brought up.
His own employee tried to make it right, but he stopped him, and wouldn't come back to the front to face me again when I questioned about it.
He eluted to the fact I lacked ethics and was purposely trying to 'get something for free'- despite there was indeed an issue. The best part? Not once did I actually say I wanted to replacement/ something free- I took it up to them as a FYI. Then from there his employee tried to make it right, and that was denied.
While some of his items are tasty, you are better off spending your $$ at place that doesn't treat a customer like crap, especially a regular one.
Also: he only has one employee serving customers, even on busy days like Saturdays ( once a upon a time he had two). Other bakeries at least have multiple employees serving customers. I will admit this employee does a good job and has a good memory.

Eric the Baker, in my opinion, makes the best chocolate croissants in Guelph, not to mention all the delicious other treats. My girlfriends keep telling me to try the sausage rolls. By the time I eat a chocolate croissant, I’m full. Maybe next week. ❤️

Worth travelling to Guelph just for this. Paris patisserie level baked goods. Transports me back to France. Extremely caring staff and owner. Some of Guelph’s finest work.
The pain au chocolat was very good! Lots of delicious looking pastries, seating is very limited though as it seems more like a grab and go spot.

I am totally ruined for any other bakery now, everything was absolutely perfect - I have NO IDEA why there would be any reviews less than 5 stars, it's pretty bonkers and I'll probably dream about these goodies for weeks to come being from far out of town and unable to come back daily :') 1000% worth any length of a line up, do not skip on this spot!!
