I've stopped into Fleetstreets a few times and had friends buy me a few treats reminding me of the fun snacks and foods from back in the UK and while my diet is a little restricted these days I'd heard great things about the cornish pasties but also other dishes.
This stop was to try their sausage roll, I'd heard great things and once upon a time this was my favourite grab and go lunch. Somehow I'd never tried theirs.
An exception was made to try one today and wow. Absolutely remarkable, arguably one of the best I've had in my years though likely my last. Worth it.
While I understand the price model I do feel $4 could be a sweet spot and an $11 for 3 would be such a great deal w/ a vegan sausage roll option that could be nice. Maybe there already is?
With that said this store is worth a frequent visit and their vegan shepherd's pie is great omg, I can see why it keeps a dedicated customer base.

FleetStreet current food from the Cork St location is absolutely amazing the pie pastry is light crispy and the filling is very generous. I had the steak and Stilton and it was two meals. Welcome back! You are on fire!!

What an incredibly sad day. We were excited to visit again for the re-opening but cautious after we learned Alyssa and Keaghan had left the shop. Our favourite items were (yes, past tense) the soup and the sausage rolls. We knew the soups were Alyssa’s creations and she never missed the mark. The sausage rolls used to have super flaky and buttery pastry around tender sausages, truly used to be the best we’ve ever had.
Now, the soups are no longer flavourful and the sausage rolls are no longer flaky with dry sausage in the middle. We were so disappointed that the food quality has taken a sharp turn downhill. We used to be weekly regulars but will not be returning anymore.
