ive been going to franks for the last year or so and i usually love going to franks but this particular bartender has always been so rude. just last night i didn’t get served at the bar for over 20 minutes while waiting with my sister and her boyfriend, she was the only bartender working at 11pm on a saturday night for some reason and only served guys who were by themselves or in larger groups and did not even bother serving the other side of the bar?? the people beside me did not get served either so we eventually gave up and sent my other friends over who got drinks almost immediately. this is unfortunately not the first time i’ve experienced this behaviour for this specific bartender. this blonde bartender has almost never served us and either ignores us until someone else serves us even if im directly in front of her, or on the rare occasion she does serve my sister or i she has the most awful attitude EXPECT when shes serving small or larger groups of guys… she has also on a few instances cut us off for no reason whatsoever and on a separate occasion cut my sister off after she had ordered one drink. she wasn’t drunk at all since we had just arrived and this bartender refused to serve her. im sick of this awful service and the waiting for drinks is ridiculous on a saturday night when shes the only one working. for some reason this female bartender always has a problem and im not sure what it is. on the other hand the bouncer that let us in was very nice. my nights at franks are perfect when she’s not working!

if i could give this place a zero, i would. genuinely one of the worst experiences i’ve had. I’m actually convinced that it’s a requirement for their bouncers to be rude and I couldn’t tell it’s because they have some weird power trip or it was racially motivated…or both? (probably both). In addition to this THE FLOORS ARE SO STICKY. like nowhere is safe EVERYWHERE is so sticky.

I wish I could give this place zero stars. My friends came here for a night out to celebrate a birthday, and it turned into one of the most disgusting experiences of my life. After waiting in line and paying the cover, my friend, who happens to be brown, was kicked out by the bouncer for no apparent reason other than the colour of their skin. They were calm and respectful, yet still singled out. After we left, we noticed the bouncers doing the same thing to other brown people, while everyone else seemed to be welcomed right in.
It's 2024, and there's no excuse for this kind of blatant discrimination. If you care about inclusivity and respect, stay far away from this place.

watched the bouncer accept a bribe to let two girls in ahead of everyone else. when i confronted him about it he wouldn’t tell me his name + said they were at max capacity and “can’t let anyone in”. pretty sure franks could lose their license if they’re letting people in for a bribe when at max capacity ?

Everytime I go here the staff never do anything about the fact that there are men constantly trying to touch my girlfriend and other girls or stare at my girlfriend to the point she’s uncomfortable is crazy.. I didn’t know we accepted pedos.

Make a ridiculously long line for no reason when the bar is empty. Expect a 2 hour + wait and to enter into a 50% full bar with a shitty DJ.
The Best club in Guelph so far. Been here quite a few times and the Vibe here is always next level.

guys this is the place to be. if i was about to be squished underneath a bus the last place i would want to be is franks (in. a. good. way.) mike the owner, the bouncers, and the staff make my experience there very memorable. I literally love franks.
