We went to go and it wasn't even open... Lights off, doors locked and it was supposed to be open at 4pm. There was no sign or anything
We had a reservation at the Gin Mill at 4pm: they do not open until 4 so it was not a huge surprise when we got there and the doors were locked. We waited and tried calling many times to which no one answered. we left and came back a half hour later and the doors were still locked. We literally never got to our reservation because the place was locked the whole time
The restaurant wasn't even open and nobody bothered to call to inform me they would be closed.
Great service, yummy food, and creative cocktails. We split a gin flight as well, and the flavours were really well balanced.
Have been here a few times before, always had a great experience but this time around we sat for an hour and never got the drinks we ordered 10 minutes in despite it being acknowledged multiple times. I will likely go back again as I do enjoy the place but this experience left a bit of a sour taste in my mouth.
Excellent, fresh food. Unfused gin was excellent and I really enjoyed the charcuterie
Amazing drink and food menu with friendly service! I love gin!
Nice place to hang out, have drinks, converse and have appetizers. The menu is fun but not the place for and all out feast. Nice ambience, great service, come out of the cold, but come to chill
Great atmosphere, servers were very attentive - drinks were amazing (gin flights HIGHLY recommend!) A great place that obviously really cares about their community (cocktails based on local businesses? LOVE IT!) Came from out of town, but would make a point of coming back for more drinks!
It was a date nights. I asked the kitchen to stay open later so that we could arrive in order. They did. They were very friendly and professional. The ambience wasn't a lot to look at but I wasn't there for the view. Pictures online showed a more extensive menu however upon arriving the dinner menu was not to impressive. Food was good but basic.

I had a great time at Gin Mill and this was the first time I brought some family along with me. They loved the menu, ambiance and everything. We will be going back in the near future
constructive feedback first: 3 of my glasses (2 gin flight glasses and 1 water mason jar) had multiple lipstick marks on the edges of the glass. Gross. Please check when your dishwasher was maintenances last... Maybe replace it? Or wash for a longer period of time? Maybe it was a staffing issue? (No time to prewipe the glasses before going into the wash?-i know some lipsticks practically need concrete remover to take off). Our pulled pork tacos were very dry and chewy -granted, we were there for dinner so maybe the pork was cooked in the morning and left under a heat lamp all day? Also, maybe consider using fresh frozen cranberries in the gin cocktail flights as mine was a dried sugar cooked cranberry so it left an unsettling residue floating at the top of the beverage (just powdered sugar but it made the drink look unappetizing.Otherwise we love Gin! The flights tasted lovely and refreshing and their gluten free meal was very well seasoned, tasted great and perfectly moist.
Went with a few girlfriends and enjoyed a few flights of Gin (tropical and berry) and dinner (tacos with mushrooms and cauliflower) while sitting on the patio. We enjoyed both, the bees were bad on the patio, but no fault of the restaurant. They had a lot of Gin options in the actual restaurant that were not shown on the menu - so be sure to ask and would offer that it would be beneficial to offer up some other options to customers to test out additional items.
Great place to throw a party. Staff and food were awesome. Highly recommend ?
Food was bad. Poutine was drowned in extremely salty gravy and not edible. Fish tacos had no taste. Was given $2 off our bill for the poor quality food. Drinks were good.
