In the past, I have enjoyed going here, but today was a complete failure in terms of service.
We went in and ordered two brown sugar oolong milk teas only to be told they only have enough pearls for one and that more would not be ready for another 25 minutes.
After asking about the pumpkin pie milk tea (prominently featured on the cash register), was told that it is 'seasonal' and sold out. This is certainly the season for it. Failure to keep it in stock is a failure on the part of the business, as is not having the one thing your business is primarily known for (tapioca pearls - bubble tea).
Advertising something you no longer have is a scummy practice at best.
When you anticipate that you will run out of tapioca in the next 30 minutes, you put more on so that by the time the current batch runs out, you have another ready to go. Thinking that going 25 minutes without your primary product being available is okay is surprising.
This is the second time a Gong Cha location has told me this.
Finally, every time we have gone, we have been asked how much ice or sugar we want in the drink. The man at the counter focused instead on the fact that we were asking for a drink without a 'topping' repeatedly asking what one we wanted despite us saying no (again, because tapioca pearls weren't available), and then entered 70% for ice (not a reasonable default for a drink costing similar to a McDonalds breakfast McMuffin or Happy Meal).
Finally, the one drink we did get with pearls seemed to not even have a full serving and instead had a small amount at the bottom.
Overall a negative experience. Despite all this, it did end up tasting good though.

Gong Cha is quaint and adorable, and the AC is always full-turbo-blast. I can't have dairy without disasterous results, so I usually stick to their oat milk options. The brown sugar oat tea is fantastic, super creamy and saturated flavour. It makes the tapioca kind of taste like licorice?? (Which I love.) The service is usually pretty brusque but that's fine because the drinks always deliver. They also have a tiny Christmas tree that sits in the corner year-round. I've decided to call him Steve. Steve contributes a lot to the overall atmosphere. Great place to go. Try a croffle!

Got three drinks due to the FFXIV event! I didn't think they would be good as they were! Staff was very friendly and the wait was only a few moments. Will go back again!

I had the toasted coconut smoothie. It was honestly not very good at all. It was way too sweet. I actually dumped more than half of it out. Go to the Cambridge Center to the Real Fruit place that makes smoothies and you will get a real treat! The staff here were wonderful, which is why I bumped the star rating up to a 3 instead of a 2.
Washrooms: Yes, they have washrooms for customers only.
Parking: There is free street parking for two hours on Macdonell and Carden. The Marker Parkade is a paid parking garage right beside Gong Cha.

The drinks they offer are of a ok quality and taste, but the atmosphere is chaotic. The machines are so noisy that you can barely hear or understand the staff. Additionally, the staff hastily wash the utensils with hot water, which only adds to the noise and disorder. It makes you want to grab your drink and escape from the commotion.

Very odd, I normally have great bubble tea experiences from gong cha in Kitchener but this location this time- some of the tapioca was overly squishy and others were hard. Overall would not go back to this location.

Fast service, great drinks, delicious waffle and the inside is designed beautifully to sit and relax or stand and chat. Overall I would definitely recommend everyone to try this place out. Located downtown which is also great because you can grab a drink and go for a walk outside. Will return for sure.

Please adjust your true "service" hours.. I've never seen a "bubble tea" place open 7 days a week and typically past midnight. There's a huge discrepancy there.
Got a mango splash with pearls in a coffee cup? it has barely any mangos or pearls taste like milk and tea. worst gong Cha I been to, go to Burlington location its way better avoid this one.
