We have been conducting a `coffee exploration' in Guelph. Guildsmen was our third stop in as many weeks.
We ordered a cortado and two americanos. The young woman at the cash was very off-putting, and didn't smile once. The person making the coffee is a mess. Spilled coffee ground everywhere. The cortado was basically a glass of milk, could not taste the coffee.
My dad, whom ordered the Americano opted to get a second coffee at the coffee shop across the street as he couldn't finish his.
You can tell this place benefits immensely from being located inside the farmers market. But it wouldn't last as a stand alone. Don't belive the hype

Absolutely fantastic cappuccino. Taste and texture were simply glorious. Prices are high, yes, but you'd pay similar at 5bucks and get gross coffee.

High quality, well brewed coffee with the beans they use weekly on display. The price is surprisingly low and they always have vegan doughnuts available. The barristas are friendly too. A gem of the Guelph Farmer's Market.
Vegetarian options: Vegan doughnut

Ryan & Jay are fantastic. So incredibly friendly and welcoming. My partner and I always look forward to Saturdays so we can get the lavender latte from Guildsmen Cafe. The coffee is just as great as their customer service! :) HIGHLY RECOMMEND
I love this cafe and the generous and friendly folx who run it. We take all our visitors here on Saturday mornings for their espresso-based beverages.I usually drink a black americano but the pandan oat milk latte is a special, perfectly-balanced treat.
Consistently the best coffee in the city served by kind, friendly folx who always manage to brighten my Saturday morning.

The elderflower coffee was unique and delicious. It wasn’t too sweet either!
Great espresso!
I have had a lot of coffee from all over, the Guildsmen Cafe is one of the best. Very few places make a truly hand-crafted coffee. We have moved away and their coffee is one of the things we miss most. Highly recommend!!
I have been to a number of cafes around the world and I say, without hesitation, these folks are among the best. Even in the hustle and bustle of a busy market, they are able to make you feel like a welcome friend. There is no need to ponder over what you want to get. Simply tell them what you are looking for and they will make you a warm cup of something wonderful. Your day will be better for it, I assure you. There is a selection of delicious accompaniments waiting to join your drink and they are always coming up with new ideas. The love, care, and passion for what they do can be experienced with every sip and bite.
