Nasty old stale food this place has completely gone down. I’m the last year or so asked to speak to the manager and server replied with he doesn’t want to come and talk to you payed my over priced meals without eating never again don’t waste your money

I was expecting decent food from this place due to the many reviews but this is mediocre sushi for ridiculous prices. I ordered uber eats delivery and the sushi tasted over a day old so we couldn't eat it. Being from the gta, we've had way better sushi from the mall that this. And you can taste the terrible quality of the sashimi. There's something off putting about this. Will not go there again.

Everything I've had from here is delicious, from fusion items to sashimi. I unfortunately only visit when I'm in the area for work - probably not the worst for my wallet though! Highly recommend.

This was only my second visit to Hanami and I am hooked! My new go to place. Our sever Kevin, was absolutely amazing. Very attentive and helpful. The space was incredibly clean and all staff were very friendly.

Sure sometimes a roll comes out a bit sloppy. They are feeding sushi warriors with fumes coming off the prep tables from how fast they churn it out.
Also you can order takeout if you don’t want AYCE.

Hanami Izakaya is fantastic! For starters the servers are on their game. Very knowledgeable, friendly, attentive, prompt, and informative. Food very fresh, tasty, and beautiful presentation. It's a nice warm environment. I'm not from Guelph however in town regularly enough that I will for sure return.

Prices are becoming too high. I understand inflation and such, but this restaurant is also doing well so the prices are pumped, although the quality is not improving. I’ve been visiting this restaurant regularly since before (and during) Covid and now I will have to stop because it is victim of its own fame. Dinner Price went from $32 to $45 in 4 years! Time to find an alternative.

It's quite expensive but it's the best sushi place in Guelph. The quality and service is amazing, everyone is very friendly.
One of the only sushi places in Guelph that actually gets the concept of all you can eat right.
Amazing service, truly delicious food and the service is topnotch.
Would highly recommend going to the dinner all you can eat as you have a wider variety of choices.
No matter how full you are the creme brulee is a must try. The last time me and my girlfriend went there I think we devouered 10+ creme brulee between the 2 of us.

The food was ok for that price, I’ve had better sushi like if I’m supposed to be picky, some rolls were inconsistent and some were not well rolled properly or had uneven distribution of the ingredients making it hard to force myself to finish all of it sometimes.
The selection is great and the chicken was a nice surprise. Fountain drinks are included which was also a big bonus. The service was really great we got seated fast and the food came quickly. Very nice staff. The ambiance and setting is really nice as well only a little too cold but otherwise, it was very nice experience.
After tax for 2 people AYCE comes up to about $100
