Had a meal here with friends. The staff was very nice and the service was good. Started with the loaded fries, which were great. We were there on half price night when you can mix and match almost any tacos for $5 a piece. We tried the los pollo, brisket, wild and tame, halloumi, and the spicy shrimp. We also tried the flight of margaritas. We loved all of the food and drink and we will be returning for more.

My family and I went to La Reina this past weekend and took our mini dachshund Franky with us. All four of us, which includes Franky had a wonderful time.
The service was excellent, the food was amazing and we really enjoyed and outing with our dog and of course, she LOVED her meal. A bonus was the atmosphere - you felt like you were on vacation!
Looking forward to coming back!

Enjoyed a summer patio lunch at La Reina . A nice taco selection with a varied menu of tasty options . We had the Al Pastor and Baja Fish Tacos and enjoyed them overall . The service is efficient and friendly. Patio vibes are great. Solid choice for downtown Guelph.

We’ve been to La Reina many times, but tonight we had the most lovely server we’ve EVER had. Nikki K is a ray of sunshine in human form. We had just come back from a long car ride and we were HANGRY, but not for long. Nikki’s delightful table-side manner could make the grumpiest of patrons forget about all of life’s problems. As a long-time industry professional myself, please listen when I say: hang on to this girl La Reina. She’s a keeper! 10/10

My wife and I tried the place the 2nd day they opened. I would have given them a break because of this fact. It takes a while to get up and running, that said it would have been Difficult to be worse. I wont go into details…..the whole thing was sad. They were not prepared at all from start to ( thank GOD ) finish. Even still, I wish them the best and hope they get organized SOONER than LATER.

Fantastic Monday deals: Bottles of Corona and fish tacos are $4 a piece. The brisket tacos were delicious. Loved the ambiance, music and decor. Great fun!

I don’t recommend this restaurant because of very very long wait times. I haven’t waited to be served more than one hour. The inside was almost empty and was very very bad.

I’m sad to say I’ve been disappointed in the past two times I’ve visited La Reina. The drinks are amazing but the food has been underwhelming. You’re paying more than $16 per dish so it should be good.The burrito bowl was not a bowl, it was a small portion of food on a plate and the cheese tasted cheap, like plastic and the dish was dry. The fries supreme was fine but the fries weren’t even homemade. The guac was fine, service too. Tortilla chips were legit perfect. Two people with drinks, an app and two mains cost $140 and it just wasn’t worth it. I want to be impressed by food when I go out for dinner, motivated to return, and I won’t be back. If you’re looking for good drinks and music, this is a great vibe, just not for dinner.

This establishment has a serious fruit fly infestation, and even when you mention it to the manager, by the way, her pants are so long that they drag on the floor and they’re covered in filth. The manager says that there’s really nothing they can do well I have a suggestion that I will report you to health and safety, and you can be shut down so that you can take care of your fruit fly infestation Before you think it is adequate to subject customers to such a disgusting atmosphere. Also very overpriced menu and drinks for what you get. It’s just because you’re desperate. There’s nothing really in the area that’s decent anyway please do better or not at all.

The food is good but the pricing for the food you get is comical. We got 3 apps and they were literally like 3 tbsp with all the same chips for at least $15 each. We had a good time and food was decent. Either that said, the $270 bill (after tip) for dinner with apps, entrees and drinks was a surprise.
The atmosphere is very uni student vibe, be prepared not to talk much with your date as the music is pretty loud! Cool decor.
