We arrived for 5:15pm for our dinner reservation. It was our first time here. We were checked in very quickly. Our hostes was lovely and excited to hear we were there for the first time. Our server was Emily (I hope I got her name right). She was great at explaining the menu and giving recommendations. We really liked that she didn't rush us and made it a very comfortable experience. Appetizer we had the mushroom toast, it was a good portion for two people. Drinks, my husband has beer and I tried the Berries in Bloom and Quebec 37, I enjoyed the Quebec 37 more. For mains I had the potato thin crust pizza and my husband had braised beef cheeks. Both were good portions and delicious. For dessert we had chocolate torte, tasted good but was the smallest dessert we probably ever had at a restaurant. We wish the portion was bigger. After dinner we went to the bookstore next door and picked up some games.

Our weekend brunch at Miijidaa in downtown Guelph was, as always, a true delight. The service, and the curated mixology, especially the beautifully crafted mocktails - stood out as a hightlight. The chef's creation is consistently of a fine dining standard, and our table was thorough inpressed. We loved the Vertical Green salad, which was fresh, vibrant and memorable. The burger, Mantoulin Island Trout, and Braised Beef Cheeks were all equally outstanding.
Beyond the food and drinks, we appreciate the ever-changing artwork on the walls from local artists and the cozy bookstore right next door.
Miijida is truly worth a trip downtown anytime.

Such an incredible experience from the moment we walked in—immediately greeted by friendly staff in a beautiful space with incredible atmosphere and artwork. They asked if we were celebrating anything ( our anniversary) and we quickly met our server, Emily. She made us feel so welcome and special, and helped us pick the perfect drinks and food. And the food! The kind that makes you pause and just savour it. Then, at the end of the meal, we received a hand-written anniversary card from the staff. Honestly, we can’t wait to go back!

Interesting restaurant in downtown Guelph. The menu is interesting and certainly reads well, not your usual fare which is a nice change.
We had the beef cheeks which were nice and a pan roasted chicken which was a bit dry. The sauce on the chicken (yogurt based?) was interesting but it did not save the chicken. The sides on the plate for both dishes were good. I felt the service a bit lacking, the restaurant wasn't busy and frankly I felt ignored. Our order should have been taken earlier. The menu is also over-priced in my opinion. Parking is available on the street or at several municipal parking lots.

Asked for decaf, it’s 6 am. I don’t think it was decaf.

Stopped by to grab an iced vanilla latte and decided to try the salted caramel brownie. Iced vanilla latter was delicious, I love the froth milk touch to the latte. If you have a sweet tooth, I highly recommend trying the salted caramel brownie. The server was very kind and made was the one that recommend trying the brownie. I will definitely be visiting again.
