Despite seeing a few negative reviews, we decided to give Planet Bean Coffee – Garage a try, and we’re so glad we did! The iced Americano was absolutely epic – you can truly taste the difference in quality from their fairtrade beans. We also tried a vegan cookie, and it was just as impressive: fresh, flavorful, and satisfying. The vibe of the place is warm and welcoming, and the service was top-notch. Sometimes taking a chance really pays off – highly recommend stopping in!

Planet Bean are great people and they make a superb flat white. Come on Guelph, why drink the swill from Seattle when you can support a local business! 🇨🇦

I just moved to the area and I was excited to have a cafe in walking distance. I visited today and was a little disappointed. Staff were friendly although it took them a couple of minutes to greet or acknowledge me, atmosphere was exactly what I was expecting. I was really looking forward to a sugar-free iced latte to be told that they don't have any sugar free options. I opted to buy a muffin for my boyfriend and the muffin was very dry and crumbly.
I really hope that this location adds some sugar free options to their drink menu, I would love to give this place another try.

If you know and love good matcha. Save your money. The swamp water they serve here is awful. Bad quality matcha and not properly prepared, which they openly discussed in front of customers today they don’t really care about. Saying that making it the proper way vs with the metal whisk makes no difference. Which, I’m sure all would beg to differ. It was clumpy and barely green, no flavour. Wish I saved my money :(
Coffee is great, love the lattes. But don’t come here for matcha lol ..

We have been a fan of this coffee so much that when I moved 2 hours away, I'd have it shipped to me. In the last 4 months I have had to call to find out where my order is, and today it has been 2 weeks since I ordered. Time to find a new source.

This adorable coffee shop is absolutely amazing. The service is phenomenal, the food delicious, and the coffee SWOON. Lattes are among my top 5 ever. Prices are reasonable as well. If you get a chance, swing by this great little gem

I'm not sure if there was a change in management here but things really seem to be going downhill. It feels like whenever i go here something new is wrong and at this point I've stopped going.
Firstly, the downtown location was shut down for some reason, I'm not sure why but considering that it was an LGBTQ+ friendly space and my comments below, it seems like they're putting their own outdated ideals above the customer and their profits.
Management removed pride flags from the buildings and apparently isn't going to be putting them back because they don't believe in them or something, which is crazy because this is a very popular LGBTQ+ spot, they've basically alienated their main audience
Planet Bean has had good quality in their roasts but I feel like if they're alienating people like this so much they're going to see a high turnover rate, so I'm not expecting that quality to last long
That's okay though, if management wants to throw good will out of the window, they have plenty of competition that their customers can go to. They've done this to themselves

I was there to buy beans and they were all sold out. Not just of the beans I was looking for but ALL the beans. I was told I could go to to a local retailer and purchase the beans because they were supplying them instead of having on site. Maybe they should change the name to “Planet NO Bean”

Long time customer here. This place has gone down hill severely over the summer of 2024. I’ve been waiting 7 days for an order of 0.75lbs of coffee bean that I ordered online. I ended up cancelling my order out of frustration and have been shopping else where. I miss walking into this shop getting a coffee and grinding my own beans.

I found that one of the older female employees was extremely unpleasant. I felt like I was in a coffee shop in Eastern Europe where the service is terrible and the employees don’t care if they make a sale or not. She really turned me off and I will never shop there again. Moreover, I will be passing my experience at the shop to everyone I know who is a coffee connoisseur.
