Had the most amazing meal here today. The server Erendira was so amazing. She made us laugh non stop and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. She was super helpful with the menu and recommendations. Explained everything to us and checked up on us to make sure everything was ok. She was delightful and brought joy to our day. Thank you for the amazing meal.

It’s a family shop, the server I had just wanted to me buy anything so they didn’t know how to articulate recommendations.

Small seating space, groups bigger than 4 might wanna call ahead.

I’m gonna give it one more shot but I want to warn people the octopus tacos are far from anything Mexican tasting.

For $12 a single taco it was 8 tiny diced octopus, probably the same mix they would use for their ceviche, tossed into a deep fryer for heat. Some melted cheese, and fried imitation crab, covered in sweet Thai chili sauce. No spices, no salsa, no fresh garnish.

So the dish wasn’t fresh tasting, no Mexican flavours and just terrible combinations. Fried imitation crab is made of pollock, so it was fishy. The only Mexican thing was the corn tortilla. It just seems very lazy for an expensive small item with not much thought.

Now I’m gonna give it one more try because the free nachos came with a very tasty salsa, so hoping it was just a one off. Stay away from anything that doesn’t have a Mexican name.

Easily some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. What a gem! The place, which doesn’t look like much from the outside, was busy on a Tuesday and after eating my food it’s not the least bit surprising. I love when you go somewhere for food and it feels authentic… from the decor to the Mexican Coca Cola to the tacos. I already want to go back. Service was on point too.

We went here about two months ago and it was AMAZING! We got complimentary chips and the food was fresh and tasted fantastic ( better than most I had in the « popular » Mexican spots in Toronto). Our waiters were so nice and attentive. I would certainly go here if I was in Guelph again.

1. Ask or research about Aguachile. It is very spicy and the Tostadas were immersed in it. Difficult to eat.
2. When I explained to my boyfriend that ceviche is raw seafood, the waiter interrupted me instead of understanding that not everyone knows what ceviche is and that the texture is almost alike raw meat.
3. Waiter was loud and criticized when I said we ate local in Cancun. There's no local cuisine in downtown Cancun now?

Anyways. We didn't like what we had and it was our bad luck. Should have ordered tacos because all reviews mention them.
