Stopped by as we were in the area already. It was so worth it! It was Doug’s birthday as we learnt and everyone was very welcoming. Everything from service, interior design and drinks was extraordinary. The experience and drinks are one of a kind, as well as the presentation. Highly recommend to check it out if you are in Guelph.

Britney, the bartender, made our experience so fun! I love the theatrics with the drink making, from fire to rubber duckies in a tub, it was so fun. We can't wait for the comedy nights she mentioned, to come back or the weekends with the boss and his dry ice tricks. It all sounds so fun. Quite the experience

Doug is amazing at what he does. He graciously held a private get together (also courtesy for my cousin) and put together the best cocktails I've ever had, some of them created by Doug himself. Alongside great cocktails, the effort and artistry put into the details and decor of the small space exponentially adds to the total experience. It's a gem of a place and I highly recommend this hidden treasure off the beaten path.

The owner/bartender does not respect reservations. Our group of 9 had a reservation for 9 PM. When we entered, the place was packed and people didn't seem to be leaving. We were standing around in the overcrowded inside and outside in the freezing cold for about 1/2 hour. It looked like we were going to wait for at last an hour before being offered a beverage. We finally left, 2 x 2 vehicles 10minute Uber rides around Guelph. This is also not the first time. Will never return no matter how good the drinks are.

What a fun experience!! And amazing cocktails. I’ll definitely be coming back. It was a very cozy and relaxing time while also fun and interesting. The cocktails are delicious and it’s a lot of fun to watch them get made. The bar is very small and it gives you a unique experience to socialize with other guests and the owner. Make sure to drink lots of water after your visit!
What an awesome little place. Doug was very entertaining, and mixes an excellent cocktail. Try the Toddfather! Reservations are expected.

We're so glad we decided to make our way to Standing Room Only for our date night! This place packs an awesome experience into a tiny space. From the decor to the friendly staff (thanks, Doug!) we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Doug is a showman behind the bar, and we spent the evening mesmerized as he made not just our drinks, but those of the other patrons, too. In this day and age of instant gratification, it felt decadent to enjoy a beverage (or two) made with such care and attention. The stories and laughs completed the whole experience. Such a gem in the heart of The Ward!
