This restaurant is so wonderful, the delicious home cooking, the friendly staff. Every time I eat there I feel nourished, well fed. I can’t recommend this place highly enough.

Augusta Louise bistro is a homey restaurant/cafe that offers quality meals, fresh baked goods and delicious coffee. Owner and chef Majda has created an eclectic menu of delicious breakfast/brunch entrees. I visit often and have sampled many - all excellent. Home-style bacon and eggs, breakfast burritos, crepes. Eggs benedict is very popular; also available in florentine for vegetarians (the menu includes vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options). The selection of omelettes is impressive; my favourite is Spanish omelette. The atmosphere is very welcoming, the service gracious. I really enjoy the relaxed, stay-awhile vibe. Augusta Louise has a cozy nook with a chest of toys; my children often bring a board game to the table to play before and/or after the meal. As in European restaurants, customers never feel rushed to leave. Augusta Louise is situated in a quiet section of downtown Guelph. I highly recommend this hidden gem.?

i 'used' to think it was a nice little place run by a somewhat right-wing woman but i recently learned that the people who run it are anti-vaxxers. It would be safe to say they have lost me as a customer moving forward

Food was wonderfully tasty and coffee was especially great. Their potato hashbrowns were definitely as good as the reviews said they were.Make sure you have extra time to eat as they take real care about making the meals good and home cooked. The only worry about our visit was that they had two piles of the druthers newspaper (at the front entrance table) which is propaganda and fear mongering against vaccination. And the owner did not wear a mask the whole two hours we were there. I completely agree with accepting others' beliefs but making a choice to not wear a mask despite endangering guests is morally wrong.Remember how we all suffered through polio in our childhood? No you don't, because your parents had you vaccinated! The owner was a gentleman still, but I would ask "Don't endanger people with your beliefs please!"

The staff was unmasked and it was very uncomfortable for us so we left before ordering. Breakfast all day menu seemed good, place was clean. Seems to have changed the menu, came in looking for the sandwiches from before!

My friends recommended this place for breakfast and I am very glad they did. Had never heard of it before. Really great food, friendly staff, the owner was very personable and loved the plants growing by the windows. Have not eaten out in a while and am glad I came here.
