We were served right away. The space is very open and bright with a good amount of seating. I really liked all the vintage looking decor too, made it seem like a lot of thought was put into the space. The flat white I ordered was also delicious!

This place has a weird vibe. As a first time customer, I was a little bit confused. There’s no menu, so I didn’t know what to order. The person working behind the counter had a lengthy conversation with a customer he clearly knows as a regular, but he kept looking at me while I was standing there, as he was continuing his conversation, as if to let me know I was going to have to wait until his conversation was over to serve me. When the conversation was over and I was being served, I asked for a coffee. Apparently there’s no coffee and the closest thing was an americano. Ok fine. I ask if he puts the modifiers in the americano or do I, as they are scattered amongst the front of the counter. The answer I got from him was “I’ll let you do it as this is the first time I’m meeting you”. Ok fine. So I go and put my milk and sugar in, I had to find the spoons. There’s nowhere to put the spoons after stirring the drink. I stuck my dirty spoon in a dirty espresso cup that was behind the counter. This place has a super weird vibe, and I feel like it’s intentional. To make those who aren’t regulars or those who don’t fit the vibe of the establishment feel uncomfortable and made to feel aware that they are not welcome. The Americano was good, though I won’t be back. I’ll have to find another coffee place in the general area unfortunately as this one is in a very convenient location. If you aren’t visibly a liberal hipster type of person, I would just go to Tim hortons. Judging by some of the other reviews on here, you will not receive the same level of service as those who identify as this. This is coming from a visible minority, a person of colour.

A cute little coffeeshop with the friendliest staff I've ever met and some great coffee. A great place to grab a coffee with friends. Be warned...the baked goods disappear fast!

It’s been hard to find espresso in Canada and The Common made a perfect flat white. Calm atmosphere and good service.

Amazing espresso and croissants, but a bit of a busy, messy, and hectic vibe to the place.

I usually grab my coffee to go as I work in the area. All the treats I’ve had have been delicious too.

Best tasting coffee in Guelph. Very casual community vibe.

Waited 10 mins in line with only one person ahead of me. I left.

I bought a Matcha today to try out this café near me and I was quite disappointed that it just taste like milk in the colour was so grayish and lacked vanilla flavour though I asked for the syrup. I just went home and remade it with my own Matcha and syrup, so that it was at least drinkable.

Great coffee, even better people, and the best-dressed staff in town

Popped in this morning for a couple hours to talk with an associate about some business. Got a coffee and it was served in a drinking glass... Found that quite bizarre. I asked about it and The gentleman working sounded like he said they were out of mugs... Very hot coffee in a glass, not ideal.

Coffee wasn't bad. Somewhat dull inside. No music playing.
