When it was the Fifth, it had a stellar menu, food was (for the most part) always good, and a great vibe. After the rebrand to the 'Lookout' the menu is very limited, and any time I have ordered the food it has been really bland, no flavour and overall really sad.The Lookout is a good spot to chill if you are on the patio with a beer, but other then that if your looking for food... go downstairs to Brass Taps
I really like this spot! It's a classic for anyone looking for a peaceful place to work during the day, or a pint of beer after you finish work.Ramen needs more flavor. Fresh veggies are a plus, but the broth needs work.
Super tasty food, the only strange thing was that some of the meals are portioned really well while others seem a bit small (considering similarly priced menu items). Tldr skip the firecracker shrimp, get the beet burger. The drinks were marvelous; the bar staff are a delight.
It's an ok place to unwind with a pint of beer but make sure to NEVER order food here. Their nachos and pizza are some of the worst foods I've ever had in Guelph. My friend got a very unappetizing looking sandwich. I guarantee that anyone reading this could make better food.I think the menu is too big. They should limit the menu to 3 items they can make well rather than 20 items that are horrible.
Very cozy atmosphere and cool roof top patio for sunny weather. Several local beers and cider on tap. Food is available as well but have not tried that jet. Service and staff is very good and friendly. Highly recommend, so much better than brass taps!
