I don't know who's making the food, but it tastes sad. Like that person/people no longer enjoy cooking. Tried out a couple pasta dishes (veal and lobster) and spinach dip. The spinach dip was sour, like something was spoiled in it. The pitas that came with it tasted like straight fryer oil. The lobster tail tasted wasnt fresh but, the worst part was the lack flavor and how utterly dry it was. Couldnt even eat it. Honestly had my hopes up, and was very disappointed. The tiger shrimp were the only good thing we ate. Super unfortunate considering the prices.
Old-timey atmosphere with a unique charm and great vibe. Food is awesome and prices are very reasonable. Would definitely recommend this spot for a night out or a casual lunch!

Visited yesterday and had a great time. Food fairly priced, delicious and the service was great. Waiters were super nice and welcomed me and my wife warmly. Loved the place, left very satisfied. Planning to come back for sure ?

Not a huge fan of the menu new management put in, it's got so much that you need to be a bit careful what you order! But most of it is done right, as long as you're willing to gamble on an occasionally freezer burnt fish and chips. Still good!
Kid-friendliness: Fine for kids but not amazing. Loud and busy often!
Wheelchair accessibility: Stairs everywhere, not accessible at all.

There are doing a great job here, even on a busy night they were quick with their service, staff were happy and menu is decent. Food portions look great.

Was a little comprehensive when new owners took over. We love having a meal, a drink, or a snack at Shakespears. They are so friendly and happy to have you come join them. The kids even enjoy the food.

Enjoyed the food. Waitress was attentive to needs.
Some cobwebs around. A cleaning would help.

Had the chicken goat cheese wrap.....it was 90% spinach. Sweet potatoes fries good but should have had more than a tablespoon of chicken in the wrap. Also super super loud. Miss the old management and smaller better quality menu. Also if you've never been there this restaurant is NOT accessible for those with walkers or wheelchairs. Major steps to get in and washrooms in the basement.

Came here because we were craving Harp beer, it was musical bingo night and wing night. The pub is so cozy, very old English. It was busy because of the bingo, music was loud but great tunes and lots of fun. Service was friendly from the host to the waitress. Irish nachos were fantastic and the wings were delicious! Great prices, good portions, glad we discovered this local gem, will be back again.

First time here. Food is excellent and large portions. Will 100% be back to try something else off the menu soon. We had stuffed Yorkshire and Sheppards pie. 100% satisfied.
