Had a great time at the store. Bear and Liz were great, the service was amazing, as was the wine we tasted. There isn't many experiences like this in guelph. Highly recommend.
Me and my fiance went in to discuss making our own wine to serve at our wedding and we're so happy with the service. We are not super knowledgable in wine but felt really comfortable and had great guidance from Bear and Liz. You can tell they are passionate about what they do and have such welcoming personalities. It feels like we have known them for years. We chose out wines today and will be back in July to bottle a white a red and a rose to seve at our wedding at a very reasonable price. Highly recommended them !!!
It is a pleasure to know and work with both Barry and Elizabeth, for they do know their wines and we have received nothing but the best tasing wines.
I am a first time wine maker, so I went into the shop to purchase an intro level kit. Went in and was given the best level of service you can experience when purchasing something like this for the first time. Barrie and Liz were the most helpful in this process! Their knowledge and passion surpass what you would expect, and I couldn’t recommend them more!!
I had an excellent experience,
The gentleman helping me gave me some free used corks.
I got to learn a little bit about the process of making wine I was very intrigued and I would definitely consider coming back to make some wine.
Thank you very much
I was captivated by Barrie's patience and knowledge. He took me under his wing and gave me tips on how to improve my wine.
Amazing experience - great atmosphere, delicious wine, wonderful hospitality. 100% recommend!
Look no further, anything you need to get for wine/beer/cider making is here. Barrie is a fountain of information of all things fermenting. He'll get you everything you need and explain how to do it all. I'm a DIY hobbiest and he has helped me along the way with useful advice. You're my go to guy. I'm sure I'll be back soon for another kit or supplies. Cheers!
Just getting back into making fruit wines. They had all the supplies I needed and I got great advice and tips. I'll be returning for additional supplies when I'm ready to bottle. Super friendly and helpful!
Very knowledgeable and friendly

Very knowledgeable and friendly
Absolutely wonderful people. I searched everywhere for bottle for my wedding and they came through 100%. Very welcoming and full of knowledge.
As someone who’s been brewing beer for years I was interested in getting into making wine as well. I ended up meeting Barrie when I was buying some equipment from his shop and he took multiple hours out of his day to explain to me the process of making wine. It’s clear to me that Barrie's knowledge and passion about wine making are second to none. I’ve been to many home brewing and wine shops over the years and without a doubt this has been by far the best shop I’ve been to. I hope to return to the Towne Winer again soon.
Had a great experience buying some bottles and bottling equipment. Barrie was very helpful and very fair pricing! Would definitely return for future purchases!
Barrie and Liz turned our 140 liters of 'soft' apple cider into hard cider. Turned out fantastic--beautiful colour, sensational taste. It's a real labour of love for Barrie and it shows. Really great experience.
