I came for the fish which is pickerel and it’s absolutely delicious . When I mentioned to the server that I was eating all these calories in honour of my Dad whose birthday it would have been he said : Well I glad it meets your expectations.
Dad often brought pickerel home from his fishing trips .
Upon receiving the bill I was surprised that they paid for my beverage. It is such a lovely gesture and made my day .
The Cole slaw is really good, too . Service was excellent ! Thank you Wooly !
The food was great, but our server was very absent, and I felt invisible every time I tried to get her attention. When zi finally got her attention the look on her face made me feel like I should apologize for disturbing her. To be clear, I felt like I should apologize for asking her to do her job.
Decided to go to The Wooly Pub on National Hamburger Day because the menu said fresh cut fries. I was disappointed to find out they don’t do fresh cut anymore. I also found my burger to be dry.
Great beer selection!
One of my favs in Guelph. I’ve been inside for dinner a couple times and it was really nice. Last weekend we celebrated my father’s 70th with 20 people on the patio and they were so accommodating! I called two days before and they had no issues with it. Great food and lots of beers on tap. My 1yo daughter liked it too.
The Wooly, again, has gone over and above my expectations! The music was great! ( Thanks Jesse) and they accommodated all of our requests! The atmosphere, food and beverages were perfect.
Hi We hadn't been to the Wooly in a long while and it was great as we remembered. The servers were efficient, friendly and helpful, the food great and very large portions! We may have been a little to loud for our neighbours but we had a great time celebrating my son's birthday! Thanks
This was our first time visiting and it was amazing. Service was excellent. Food was very generous portions and tasty. Ample toppings on handhelds. The place is an old house and full of character and charm. Will definitely visit again!
Great food at reasonable prices. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Quick service. Would definitely go again
Great food and great craft beer selection (hit happy hour so the price was right, too). Hadn't been in a while so was nice to get back. Great service, kids menu was good too. Our go-to before Storm games. Highly recommend a visit!

All was good except the server mixed up some of the meals - my husband's burger ended up being a fried chicken sandwich which he didn't realize until it was well into the dinner and another person at our table who did order the chicken, had to wait a long time for her food after everyone had been served.
2nd time there and the food again was delish! Love that they have an extensive list of non alcoholic beers to choose from as well.
An old favourite, great, beer, great food, great service, great location, couldn't ask for more, and always something new to try.

Great variety and portions! Also, the first place I've been to where I can hear other patrons complimenting their food while I wait for mine.
I am visiting from Toronto with a friend of mine, and we have very different tastes - she likes comfort food and is picky, and I'm a more adventurous foodie.
This place had it all! A nice no-frills cheesy mac and cheese for my friend and various options for me. I ended up with the roast beef sandwich with au jus, but there were options like taco bahn mi as well. Everything was delish, and both of us loved what we had.
The service was also great - friendly and attentive while respecting your space to eat in peace. The place is clean and has a homey vibe. It's environmentally conscious and kid-friendly.
Vegetarian options: They have tofu options
Kid-friendliness: They have kid mats to colour on and a child's menu

Unreal from top to bottom everytime. Service is friendly and timely, atmosphere is fantastic and this time I had the beef dip with fries and, no exageration, this is the best sandwich I've had in years. Bread perfect. Tons of roast beef. Cheese everywhere and the horseradish aoli was spectacular. A must try!
