Seemed like a tense environment. Girl seemed miserable. No prices for baked goods, how annoying to have to ask for each item. Sandwiches were small for the price you pay. Thought we'd try it but won't be back.

Staff wasn’t welcoming at all. Food didn’t taste good. Macaroons were over-baked

I love their white bread. Unfortunately I don't live there so I'm trying to find my mom's recipe to see if it's the same. If I could order their bread and have sent to grand bend, I would

We stopped by University Square Bakery today for some deli meats and bread. My husband picked out 4 different cuts, and I got a day-old sliced bread loaf for $2.99. However, when we got home and opened the loaf, we were disappointed to find a huge hole in the center - it looked more like a doughnut bread than a regular loaf! Given the price, we expected better quality.
The staff, particularly the two ladies who served us, were friendly and attentive, which is why I'm giving 2 stars. However, the product quality issue was a major letdown. Unfortunately, driving back to return it wasn't feasible, so we made do. Hopefully, they'll take steps to improve their quality control.
*Pros:* Friendly staff
*Cons:* Poor bread quality, misleading product
Won't be back, unfortunately.

Amazing bakery to get fresh bread, buns, cold cuts, cheeses and lots of great sweets. A must stop if you are in the area and want to taste freshness.

The best bakery in the city of Guelph. The bakery is also part of Too Good To Go. But in general the bakery is really small and filled with bread on one side and sweets on the other. A recommended place for anyone thinking about buying from a bakery.

The staff is wonderful, but for the price of a ham and swiss sandwich I would go downtown. Bread has that spongy grocery store texture to it, lacks flavour. Can only give 4 stars. Meat and cheese and toppings are good.
It's a very nice store with very nice staff. The food is fresh and tasty. Definitely recommend them.
Delicious sub sandwich. But a little thin on the meat.
Their chocolate horn, brownie, and peanut butter cookie were nice. They have a lot of variety of desserts! They also sell loaves of bread, buns, meat, cheese, frozen meals, premade garlic bread, bagged cookies, ready-to-eat sausage rolls and quiches, and drinks. It is like a mini (but packed) grocery store! There are no prices posted, but it is surprisingly cheap. I was stunned at how many things I came home with for the amount of money I paid. Not Prefer: Their pastries were a little hard at the end of the day, and some of them had very little filling for the amount of pastry, so I won't buy these again.Prices: My 8 items (2 cookies, huge pastry, apple pie pastry, brownie, horn, ball, and turnover) came to $20.32 with the taxes included!Dining: Takeout, no indoor or outdoor dining. Catering available.Staff: There was a lovely girl that assisted me at the bakery counter. She went out of her way to help me. Her personal favourite was the brownie.
Parking: The store is in a free parking lot.
